I'm not a big fan of Johnny Cash, but this song is very sad.

what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseSame Love (Macklemore) and Perfect (P!nk) have actually penetrated me.
Tears, Different Strings, and Losing It by Rush are all underrated greats that actually managed to move me quite a bit. On a side note, none of these songs have ever been performed live by them.
Life by the Drop by Stevie Ray Vaughan moves me to tears pretty much every time I listen to it. Same goes for Just Breathe and The End by Pearl Jam.
Rusted Wheel by Silversun Pickups is also surprisingly moving. It may or may not have been enhanced by the amv entitled "The Silver Contractor."
"(Without You On) Christmas Day" came up in my listening today. I wasn't paying much attention to the story told in the verses because I was imagining my own story about a mother trying to put together a family Christmas every year as the kids grow up and move away and stop coming home until nobody comes home for Christmas, and then the year she dies everyone makes a point to come back home like they never stopped.
Fresh-eyed movie blogThis song. Just...this song.
This is like one of the only two songs I like from A7x
xxxxxxWelcome to paradise. Now go to hell.Probably one of the most emotionally-moving songs I know of.

I wanted to go hug my parents until they died. Have any of you heard songs that you think are especially poignant, or that have touched deeply you in some way?
