Here it is with some cropping to make it bigger. (The image in-game has a text box covering the left side, so cropping that off shouldn't screw up the composition or anything.)

If you look closely, you can see he's actually standing sideways from the ground and is actually holding the "still embedded into the ground" lamppost.

(I'd assume if he were to be wielding it as a weapon, it would be out of the ground, not inside it.)

It is out of the ground. It has to be, for the trails of fire to make sense. Whenever it was ripped out, it took some ground with it.

Reclocking to give some more time to discuss the lamppost option.

Let's take a look at the intro to X Men Legends.

Would the street sign ripped out the ground with a chunk of concrete on it be an example of improvised though?

And how do we know that 107 isn't improvising with the lamppost? Do we have any confirmation that that his standard weapon of choice?

Maybe a different shot of that image◊? He's nowhere near a place where a lamppost would reasonably be around, so it's most likely his standard weapon.

That's good enough, and my previous caption suggestion still works with it.

I kinda prefer the other one.

The lamppost images seem good to me. Especially since they would require a lot of strength to use.

^^ Me too. It looks cooler, and I don't think the "weapon could be Improvised" concern is important.

I disagree. There's a huge amount of misuse between the two, and while the first one is a better looking image in my opinion, the fact it looks ripped out of the ground is a huge point against.

The second isn't as visually appealing, but it seems much less likely he improvised it given the setting.

I agree with the second one, since the first has the "looks pulled out from the ground" problem.

Yeah, that issue was pretty much the only reason why I made the alternative suggestion. But if someone can give an explanation on how the first image would not be misinterpeted as Improvised Weapon User, I don't mind supporting it.

I find the last few posts convincing.
