THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS THREAD
And then there was silenceYou know, I always wondered why they never did HD rereleases of these games. One collection for the original four games and another one for G.U.
It would make a lot of sense, but there aren't really many Japanese companies making HD compilations.

"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaIt will be and for PC as well.
After so many years of waiting, we are finally rewarded!
Just the GU games? Not the first four?
My guess is that they'll either save the first four games for the 20th anniversary or not remaster them at all.

The first 4 have honestly aged much worse then the GU games.
They should be remade entirely rather then be remastered.
Watch SymphogearCould have sworn that the first 4 games got a bundle or something in Japan on PS 3 like last year or so but I cant seem to find a story on it.
As much as I enjoy them I'll be the first to admit the first four's gameplay wasn't very good.
But I very very much prefer their story and characters over the GU games. Which makes me more inclined to want to replay them.
Although the main reason I'd want the first games get remastered/remade as well is because remastering the sequel but not the original feels kinda... weird?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaSince I missed GU on the PS 2, I'm all in for this rerelease.
Seems haseo's new form was teased near the end.
Watch SymphogearI never played a .hack game before, so I'm excited for the rerelease.
"Strategy? Spacing? I just keep punching until I hit something." - Sol BadguyI've had it pre-ordered for a minute now. I can't wait.
Steam doesn't seem to be giving any sort of indication that it'll be released the same day. Unless that's outside NA...

A place to discuss the .dotHack games, from the INFECTION series, to the GU games, to the LINK and VERSUS titles.
Really, the idea of playing an MMO inside of a regular console game is ingenious.
I got into the series from watching hack SIGN and hack ROOT, and I decided to catch up with the games. I've enjoyed INFECTION so far and I'm disappointed that the other three games are running for 100+ bucks on Amazon. Toonami did a review on one of the games when I was little, but I hadn't had the chance to play it until now.
The games are more action-oriented, thankfully, because SIGN and ROOTS both had a very slow pace. Great soundtracks, but gratingly slow plot progression. Though some might argue that this reflects the nature of an online game, in which case the series does it's fictional MMO justice.
