Poor Image: Turtle Island

Somewhat artifacted, isn't it? I suppose a simple quality swap would work, but I liked this one from GIS better.◊

That one's alright, but it kinda looks like an optical illusion or a bit of Photoshoppery. Here◊ is a smaller but non-artifacted version of the current. There's also this◊ really cool whale version.

I kind of like the suggestion - seems way cooler to me.

Ah, I forgot the Tropes Are Not Narrow aspect. Is there a somewhat more detailed image, though? I admit, my love for Scenery Porn might be talking here...

PS: Is it a problem that I have Edited w/o Discussion many times here on Tv Tropes? Of course, they were all just minor spelling/grammar infractions and adding images to tropes with none.

No, the only things that require discussion are page images, captions, and quotes, I think. Fixing errors is also always welcome.

All the pics in 10 are good for an Image Links page, but they lean a bit too strongly toward the turtle for me, except for the first and in that one the turtle's a bit too obscured.

I see what you mean. But I was just searching in terms of the trope name "Turtle Island" so I admit I was pretty narrow in that respect.

We can look for different animal themed islands if you like.

Lemme rephrase - I mean, it's a lot of turtle and not much island in most of those.

That was my point.... To find the best "Turtle" Islands.

I'm sure I can find something else, later.

All suggestions in 10 should totally get places on Image Links.

I think 10.3 is great and I don't know which I prefer out of it and the whale. I'm pretty sure something very like 10.2 is already on the wiki elsewhere.

The suggestion itself was fine, it would just be slightly redundant to show them one next to the other, honestly.

That, and the simple fact that it did not represent the image but was relevant to another trope, no offense.

EDIT: What about this? "On the shell of a tortoise you shall find, the Vanishing Isle, a land before time."
