I've only got the last hunting challenge to do, and it's a pain in the arse because finding a horned Graug outside of the story mission is really tricky, and since that's ALL I have left to do, I don't fancy running around doing nothing but trying to find it. Once the season of DLC comes out, I'll probably replay the game and 100% it that time around.
I still have to kill a Graug and I have no idea how to do it xD Lure one into an Orc stronghold and maybe let them whittle it down?
And the Game of the Year prize for 2014 from Gamespot goes to... this game. Which is nice. Details here:

Game actually looks good but I'm still addicted to the Far Cry Verse and Guild Wars 2.
It's really good though ^^ I need to do the DLC at some point.
Do both. Get addicted have fun.
Who watches the watchmen?I'm hoping it'll go on sale during the winter sale so I can grab it. *crosses fingers*
It's on sale now.

Not much of a discount but it is a nearly new game, after all.
Yeah, I'm gonna wait and see if it drops lower. A friend of mine got it for $5 on Cyber Monday. I was pretty ticked off that he didn't bother to inform me it was on sale then.
Is he still your friend? :P
He has to be, he lives with me.
Nothing like having the drop on a Captain for one of the Elite Captains to stroll in and say "Hi! I'm gonna fuck up your kill!"
Glorious revenge is finding that the Orc Captain that hit rank 15 from all those kills he got on me.
Hiding in his fortress.
And getting a brutality on him in front of his minions because he has a weakness to sneak attacks.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.I finished the game a while back, loved it, just wish there was.... more. Being dogpiled by five Captains was... exhilarating!
Is the Hunt DLC worth getting?
I've dropped off playing it ever since I beat it, though I may go back if there's ever a day when I have no other games to play.
Now they need an open world of all of Middle Earth using the Nemesis system. And they wouldn't really need a story if they amped the system up so you can build your own story with it.
I'd like to see a flipped version of the Nemesis system — the Ally system, maybe? Imagine if rescued slaves could potentially turn into roving freedom fighters that you could encounter. Getting attacked by three Captains? Suddenly Berethor the Brave comes charging to the rescue with his own posse.
Congrats to Shadow of Mordor for winning 8 out of 9 of its nominations.
Is this a Jo Jo reference?Dual system, where both torturing and freeing others has a purpose. I could dig that.
I think it's really a natural extension of the system. The next step after that would probably be allowing Allies and Nemesis...es to switch sides depending on your actions. That would go a long way towards the "your actions change the story and world" goal that developers are striving for.
Aye, and making that world huge so you can see a ripple effect over time.
Ok I finally have my hands on a new copy of this game. So anyone find anything neat, quirky, odd, or interesting to do, find or see in the game?
Any you have got to try this stunts or ideas?
Who watches the watchmen? There's a lot of codex entries and stuff and the collectibles give a lot of good world-building. There's also a DLC out where you play as Celebrimbor.
Ok. So I played enough to get the branding ability. Up to that point I had some interesting encounters.
I had one Orc that just would not stay dead. He finally seemed to die about 4th time I killed him. One Ork captain ran away after I used the stinging flies to break up his band of orcs to get out of a tight pinch. He was covered in swollen injuries.
One orc captain I decapitated and some ability brought the headless corpse back to life. I had to kill the headless orc again. He stayed dead the second time.
I had one orc that I just absolutely hated. I bumped into him randomly and he was already a bit nasty. Combat Master, Rage from the stinging flies and Caragor, couldn't be jumped over unless wraith stunned, could not be knocked down and knifed, couldn't use execution moves, all combos failed on him, had a poisoned weapon, immune to projectiles, and was a general pain in the ass. He kept interrupting in a warchief mission that involved killing a lot of orcs very quickly and in side missions to keep the chiefs new captains dead.
He killed me several times before I finally got the encounter to go just right and burned him down to vulnerable with exploding camp fires. Seeing the bastards head flying off his shoulders was worth it.
Poor Ratbag I was amused by him enough to want to keep him as my pawn.
Who watches the watchmen?I hate chieftains like that. They're annoying to fight. I had one guy, Tuka the Crippler, who was pretty much my nemesis. We each killed one another multiple times before I finally made him stay dead.
You know, this is one of the very few games that I can say I will probably pick up everything collectible. Because not only are they clearly labelled, they're never a hassle to pick up.
I'll probably also do all of the Hunting and Survival challenges XD
