7th. It's December 7th.
Funny thing about a Metriod and Kid Icarus. Both of the originals were similar in gameplay and design and had sequels around the same time on the GB. But only Metriod stuck around while KI faded away into the nether.
Come now, Kid Icarus is more likely to get a few new instalments while Metriod is in danger of peetering out of existence. (KI:U, while not a Uber Smash Hit like Legend of Mariokemon, is a steady seller and has broken a 1 mil mark and has garnered somewhat of a following .)
I'm having to learn to pay the priceI'm still having a hard time seeing how Metroid is dead just because of Other M. Do people really hate it that much? I mean, it's far from perfect, and is arguably the weakest entry in the series, but it's not like it is the latest in a series of flops.
Like I said, it's not dead because of Other M. There are other reasons it's dead, one being that Metroid Dread never seems to let its head show, and that game's supposed to take place after Fusion. Like Is said, there's only so much that can take place between Metroid and Metroid Fusion, even if you take out Metroid: Other M.
Signatures are for lamers.Guys, I don't want to nag too much, but all the "Metroid is/isn't dead" hand-wringing is a bit much (going on 3 pages out of 5) for this obstinately unrelated thread, I think.

Definitely going to watch it!
Hopefully AC IV Black Flag Edward gets an award.
On another note: god fucking dammit for Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag not being in game of year category ><
Hopefully you guys voted for it in Action/Adventure category.

"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenI most likely didn't even vote on that one, and am sure as hell not going to even.
Also, no way Final Fantasy is going to stand a chance as best RPG. Not with Fire Emblem, Ni no Kuni and Pokemon X / Y in it.

Signatures are for lamers. If the Final Fantasy in question was an FFXIII game, I'd say you're right.
However, it's XIV: A Realm Reborn, which I have heard almost nothing but good things about. Especially considered to vanilla XIV, which appears to have an even worse rep than XIII.
I have a message from another time...The only one of those games with a chance is Pokemon. Fire Emblem and Ni no kuni are too obscure to have a snowball's chance in hell.
Yes, I am the guy who refused to call Magikarp Power "not worth the effort"Are you kidding about Ni no Kuni? That game's been so darkhorse hyped, Gyarados wouldn't even use that beam anymore out of shame. Even if you didn't buy it ever or even laid a finger on it, you know somebody who has, or at least know about it some way, and know that it's one of those games.
Of course, Pokemon makes a huge chance here, since people get Poke-hyped about the Poke-trends. They just want Poke-more. Although I assume most gamers would rather Poke-mom instead of watching the VG As.
Signatures are for lamers.I will defend the Final Fantasy XIV relaunch as something I enjoy (rare for me to get into an MMO) but I have a hard time believing it could really beat a strong single-player title in any sort of competition.
Geez, people. If you're going to complain about the awards show, at least try to be accurate. There's only one award that is decided by popular vote.
I think Fire Emblem is a good candidate for best RPG. It's got a good deal more depth than Ni No Kuni or Pokemon, while also not being an MMO.
nyo ho hoEh, I'd be happy for any of the RPG to win even the MMO...except for Pokemon.
Persona 3 Portable LiveblogI'm already guessing we will see new GTAV DLC to be revealed and likely Nintendo will reveal...a new Metroid.
And hopefully something new from Infamous and Watch_Dogs.

For the record, I did vote for half of all the entries, including most anticipated (Stick of Truth, because fuck the system, and I really am looking forward to that one), best RPG (I forgot if it was Pokemon or Fire Emblem I voted for), and best Fighting Game (Divekick, because fuck if I know). I just haven't played any of the Action Adventure games, and I'm sure as fuck not going to vote for Assassin's Creed IV. The other three seem like too close a call for me to even consider one.

GOH! JII! RAH!Intrigued to see what Schaefer brings.
Ubisoft will probably show Watch_Dogs.
I have a message from another time...I have no idea why you think the new reveal from Nintendo is gonna be Metroid, considering the audience of the VGX. Its going to be Donkey Kong related.
It *would* be fun if it was something more obscure, like, meh.
Signatures are for lamers.Because that's what you want for the singular time hardcore gamers are gonna even think about your console for the entire year of 2013 - a clip that just makes them ask "what the fuck was that?"

I have a message from another time...Works for Kojima.
PSN ID: FateSeraph Congratulations! She/TheyWait, why wouldn't Nintendo show metroid at VGX? I mean of all their series, isn't it the most inline with the typical Spike viewers taste?
nyo ho ho
I wouldn't get too excited yet.
