Next up is apparently Emma Sheen vs Seabook Arno... that is unfair.

The VA jokes are splendid.

They didn't make a Char Durandal joke though.... missed opportunity.

I'm not sure where I'm at on this.

On the one hand, it's unacceptably short. But on the other hand, I like their concept, of a new addition to the Gunpla battle system that adds real AI opponents rather than just computer-controlled dumbass bots.

But back on the other hand, Meijin is so into Gunpla Battle that I refuse to believe he'd sit and watch an AI use his Gunpla. Even if it's the Red Comet himself.

I know where I'm at. It's not Try, it's creative, it's fun. There is no finish move Spam.

You know your programmers are good when the NPCs are capable of having flashbacks.

I'm imagining clever players figuring out how to game the AI into doing dumb things. Like, animation-canceling a funnel activation to get an AI Ribbons to say "I have those too!" to absolutely nothing because he's programmed to say that whenever the game detects an enemy using funnels, or lightly tapping Ribbons' Gundam to get him to do an overdramatic flinch because the computer has trouble telling how strong a physical impact would be.

Yes, I'm one of those gamers, why do you ask?

That's almost as awesome as the basic concept.

I'mma apply my 4 episodes rule here as well.

Yeah, the only real downside for me is that Batllogue is short. And yet it kicks Try in the ass. Curious to see where they'll take Battlogue— it can't entirely be about people setting up VS matches between Gundam characters.

I didn't realize when I first bumped the thread but Battlogue is only one episode a month so it's probably going to be just fanservice.

Double post but GM's Counterattack, which is apparently an OVA and not a new series like I thought, drops in less than half an hour. It's set between the original and Try and focuses on the cast of the original.

Are they simulcasting it or do we have to wait for subs?

The first 5 episodes of both Build Fighters and Try have been released with an English dub as well.

Depends on whether someone wanted to watch the shows in English and without subtitles.

I mean the dub is horrendous, I mean seriously terrible.

Anyway damn that OVA is what I really wanted out of Try.

It's not without it's flaws but the battles feel a bit better than just a finishing move all the time.

Oh yeah, a lot of fights moved way too quickly and such.

I gotta say the custom impulse Ninpulse looks quite cool, I thought it was a custom Justice till I got a closer look.

WAY better than Island War, but not as good as GBF's average episode. Most of the Gunpla Mafia's members are forgettable (although the battle bewteen Mao and that girl did make me laugh).

Ironically, I think that as an interquel it work incredible in meta sense, that I can see the transition of how things become what we saw in GBF-T.

What I love the most however is in the beginning, the moment that Takeshi uses Gunpla to get in a building and unlock the door.

Chinagguy is in Gunpla Battle club. So...Sei build it?

Oh my god I just went back through to see that Chinaguy really is there.

Glorious.

I'm disappointed at the lack of Aila. But I can grudgingly understand why she's not present.

It'd be hard to wrangle a two year old long enough to be a Big Damn Hero back in the old world.

Battlelogue Episode 2 is out.

There girl seem to be combination of Fraw and Maureen.

It's usual GBF-T power showcase, but this time they blow it at the end. There is nice touch like how Sakai get Getter-ish effect after combination, but overall drop down from the first episode.
