The series wasn't having as much fun with itself, either. To much focus on beating people, not enough focus on enjoying Gunpla. Hell, ya might as well take the word Gundam out of the name, because I doubt you would've lost much if they just made their own model kits and did away with any references to the actual Gundam metaseries.
but HOW?Seriously, what the hell is up with the Assimilation? I thought Gunpla Battle was so enjoyable because it was fun and safe.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. It didn't really go anywhere.
Which means it shouldn't have existed at the first place. All it really did was adding insubstantial tension AND limiting the scope of action and destruction Gunpla is capable of.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. It was a cheap way to add fake drama. It let Sekai use shonen tropes like Dangerous Forbidden Technique and Heroic RRoD to show the audience how much he was putting into battling. He fought so hard, he hurt himself! Isn't that awesome, guys?
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Totally! So much more awesome than fights in episode 6 and 15, which involved total destruction of Gunplas.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. And yet S1's fights like Build strike vs Fenice were a hell of a lot more impactful and sales worthy... I bought a Fenice asap after that, can't say the same for Try.
I would buy a Super Fumina though.
Because the Fenice vs Build battle hit home to many about the first Gunpla ya got.
That and all of it was clever, Felini didn't waste time, he was channeling Amuro there!
Episode 6 and 10 made me want to buy Build Strike Gundam. Never got around to do that, though. XP
But! S1 in general made me get into Gundam. I actually even finished First Gundam because of it. :D
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Did you ever watch 00? Its from the same writer and a vast majority of BF S1's staff.
Not yet, but planning to. Gotta watch Z Gundam, among many others, first though. XD
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. This might be better discussed on the general Gundam thread, but I would sincerely recommend trying to watch Gundam "in order". There's a ton of Gundam material out there, and much of it is very different from each other. You're better off going with stuff that's similar to something you've already seen an enjoyed, and then branching out on that basis, rather than deciding that you just like Gundam in general and starting with Mobile Suit Gundam, then Zeta Gundam, Gundam ZZ, etc etc in broadcast order.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Hey uh... I know you guys were excited for Super Fumina in the last episode.
Thus you demanded a real one.◊
So there you go. HGBF Super Fumina.
Still creepy to me.
Okay. Wow. Just...wow.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. Not sure if want...
Also, not sure if creepy.
Definitely creepy. Not as creepy as in-universe, since it's not based on a real person without her permission, but definitely still creepy.
But then, Japan gonna Japan.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. It's not that bad. If it were played for fanservice then it'd be creepy. I'd buy one if I knew how to build it and if it were cheap.
It's a figurine of a girl in a maid outfit featuring Zettai Ryouiki. In what world is that not fanservice?
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Neither her chest nor her ass or anything else is on display or played up for fanservice. Yes she's in a maid outfit but that doesn't inherently make it fanservice.
Maid outfits IS inherently used for fanservice, unless the character in question holds a job as actual maid as in Victorian Romance Emma.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Compared to the other MS girls out there, Super Fumina lacks character. Probably because she simply looks like Fumina in a Maid outfit with GM Cardigan parts slapped on.
MS Girls usually look like girls wearing Power Armor that is modeled after a mobile suit. For example MS Girl Wing Gundam◊ and MS Girl Gundam Unicorn◊
Heck, even the girls from Infinite Stratos look more MS Girl than Super Fumina.

Seriously why is this actually a thing?
Its a Powered Armor version of a mobile suit. Kantai Collection is the same thing but battleships.
MS Girls have been a thing since the 80s.
Personal favs are Full Armor Unicorn Crossbone Girl(looks so 90s) the sleeping giant Unicorn and 00 girl

Nah it was episode 5 when it started crashing, that was the episode when all the Ral and Gundam references disappeared. From then until like ep 23 there was nothing.
