The City of Anhk-Morpork, located in the small yet powerful country of Britannica. Many call the great city the Last Bastion of Europa, the only thing keeping the Wulfenbach Empire from conquering the entire continent. The City itself is run by its current Patrician, Havelock Vetenari, who rule the city with an Iron Fist......who uses it more as sturdy support rather than strangling people, but is not afraid to punch out particularly rowdy people with it in the face if needed. Through clever scheming, foresight, and draconian methods, Veternari has brought about sweeping positive change throughout the City and the country as a whole, bringing about peace and prosperity the inhabitants had not known in centuries. The city's still gritty and there's still a good helping of jackass and criminals, but they're getting to that.

Veternari does not make any effort to hide the fact that he can be an absolute prick at times, but many would agree he does keep the city running smoothly. Even his most hated opponents greatly respect the man. Only the most foolhardy and arrogant would ever truly question and the man's decisions or how he runs his country.

............until recently.

Two things hit Ankh-Morpork and took it by storm. First was the invention of magnectically charged inline roller skates powered by special "netrium" batteries, which allowed skaters to perform wild tricks and catch air untainable from skills and momentum alone; second was the rise of a pirate radio station called Jet Set Radio, run by the mysterious and enigmatic Professor K who not only spins out stylin' and wicked beats but also news going on inside and outside the city, including those censored by the government. From these two factors arose street gangs called "Rudies", who spend all day skating around and tagging the walls and street with all sorts of graffiti art. The most prominent and benevolent of these Rudies: The G Gs.

While most consider the Rudies to be a minor nuisance at best, people started the question Veternari's judgement for the first time since he came to power by pouring any spare funding into crackdown on the Rudies. Under the command of the possibly psychotic Lieutenant Onishima, the crackdowns became more and more severe as the police started to do far more damage than the Rudies could ever do, all under Veternari's approval, while other branches of law enforcement became more ignored, such as the already woefully underfunded and understaffed Night Watch.

However, this is merely the tip of the iceberg. On the political side, Veternari is on two fronts, with the forces of the Wulfenbach Empire who try to undermine the government of Ankh-Morpork doubling their efforts while the mysterious financial conglomerate the Rokkaku Group is putting the pressure the set up shop in the city and take control. On the streets, not only the G Gs have to contend with Onimisha ever escalating war against them and the Night Watch dealing with the fallout and their mediocrity, there's a mysterious nameless gang from the Shades, the most dangerous part of the city, is on the rise. Led by a punk by the name of Alex, he and his "droogs" forgo graffiti and doing tricks for "ultraviolence", basically a fancy way of labeling wanton murder, rape, and destruction for the mere sake of it. There is also a growing rash of missing children, exclusively little girls, taken away by what witnesses claim to be thin, lanky monsters with spears and cages.

All of these forces are bound for a collision course that could tear the city apart. It is merely a question of when..............

Plus the strange city that suddenly rose out of the water in the Arctic that's seemingly spitting out a steady stream of mutated freaks with superpowers doesn't help simplify matters much.

Main part is Discworld (Ankh-Morpork, Vetinari), Girl Genius (Wulfenbach), Jet Set Radio (Skating, Radio, Professor K) and Clockwork Orange (the psychos). Dunno what's up with the arctic mutants.

[up]Nah, those be Jet Set Radio. Similar premise but Air Gear calls them differently and the batteries thing is from JSR.

-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-

In the year 2018, the international terrorist organization only known as Cobra managed to remotely take control of all active nukes throughout the entire planet, literally holding every country in the world effectively hostage. The American backed military organization, with the support of the United Nations, managed to stop Cobra's latest attempt at world domination, but at a terrible cost. As an example of their power, Cobra had launched a payload of nuclear warheads upon the city of Moscow, devastating the City. And while Cobra itself was dissolved with the capture and/or death of all its leadership, the mysterious leader, a man known only as Cobra Commander, was never found......

Flash forward fifteen years later. In the year 2033, the surface of Moscow is a nuclear wasteland. The radiation had long spread to neighboring countries and deeper into Mother Russia, forcing mass evacuations and effectively destabilizing Russia to the point of debunking it as a major world power. The only true civilization left in Moscow barely thrives underground within the city's subway system, with each station basically its own city-state. After fifteen years of complete isolation, the United Nations suddenly receive strange signals coming from Moscow. Curious and cautious, the UN helped to reestablished the military group the GI Joes to be sent into Moscow to explore the source of strange signals.

When there, the Joes discover things are more complicated than anticipated. The underground civilization of the Metro is on the verge of disastrous civil war between armies of ultra-communists and reborn faction of Nazis, with only a third group called the Rangers standing in between to protect the innocent stuck in the crossfire; the Joes find direct competition from a strange group of armored soldiers named the Brotherhood of Steel, who is only their to recover any technology lost in the city; and not only the usual menegarie of mutated monsters and mutants, but two enigmatic races. The first are the seemingly harmless Dark Ones, peaceful beings whom accidentally brutally murders almost all in their path because of their only means of communication blows up the heads of any who's brain are not as advanced as them. The second, called only "tooth fairies," are far more malicious, actively attacking settlements, leaving behind horrific scenes of death and gore while kidnapping some of convert into more of them and have a preference for stealing people's teeth, thus the nickname.

While everything seems to be stacked against the Joes, including whispers of Cobra's possible reemergence within the Wasteland, they do have one ally along with the Rangers. There are tales of a mysterious white wolf that travels in the Wastes, purifying the air and earth with its very presence and access to mysterious power.......not to mention its very friendly with the Dark Ones.....

"Evil soldiers" is veery broad. "Evil soldiers in the jungle" may be a bit better, but still has a ton of options.

The planet Earth has never been a stranger to alien invasion. It was only during the 1950s on that this phenomenon has been brought over to the public eye. Since this time, the United States government have created three separate but equally important anti-hostile extraterrestrial organization whom eventually became separate entities affiliated with the United Nations. The first was the Men In Black, whom handle affairs on the civilian level, policing extraterrestrials whom seek refuge on Earth, apprehending criminals, and generally preventing major disasters of the political and even biological level before they escalate while keeping the general public in the dark. The second is the X-COM project, a military and research firm directly funded by the governments of the top ten major world powers created to perform surgical strikes against isolated alien attacks that are very clearly hostile, prevent further invasion and disruption from low level takeovers, and research and reverse engineer alien technologies for counter attack and defense and, eventually, civilian use. The last group is The Wonderful 101, essentially a group of 101 costumed superheroes consisting of volunteers and draftees wielding powerful weaponry and armor and are in the case of massive full scale invasion that cannot be covered up, essentially the Earth's last line of defense.

Despite all three groups being essential to the safety of the planet against the horrors of outer space, there are still many misgivings the organizations have against each other and rivalry being not uncommon. The MIB are viewed as obstructive bureaucrats whom are overtly strict towards civilian aliens and rely far too heavily on secrecy against the human public. The people of the X-COM project, often the soldiers themselves, are accused of being unnecessarily brutal with their "shoot-on-sight" mentality and being merely hired thugs of a shadowy clandestine organization. Lastly, the Wonderful 101 are looked down upon for its near wholesale hiring of civilians rather than hardened combatants and generally being completely goofy and over the top.

However, all three are forced to come together against a singular massive threat which plans to wipe out all life on Earth, an enemy to surpasses anything Earth had ever encountered in past or quite possibly in the future........a coming war that will either cement humanity as a major power in the known galaxy, or just another dead race.......

Earth only has one clue to the coming storm. A single name. Sovereign............

Oh, and there's a sleeper agent from the Irken empire named Zim trying to dominate the planet, but nobody pays attention to him because he's a completely idiot and easily defeated by some conspiracy theorist kid with a big head.

[up][up]The "Family of Bears" IS from an actual IP, namely Talespin. The jungle was supposed to be a clue about where they were from.

Answer to my last crossover story: Wattoo Wattoo, Talespin, GI Joe, Magic School Bus. Perhaps I should have been a little less vague.

The last word of a unique linking book has been written by an advanced D'ni scholar as a final project for his studies in the Art. Upon linking to the world described within, he discovers a surreal paradise of rolling meadows and angular, rotating flowers, with a curious checkerboard pattern displayed on the side of the earthen cliffs. Some landmasses even floated off the ground. He sees strange mechanical creatures which look rather like large insects and reptiles, yellow contraptions which launch anything which touch the top of them miles into the air, and a large number of rotating objects which appear to be made out of gold.

[down] I'm pretty sure [up] was supposed to be a guess.

New York City, 1995.

After years of crime and injustice, the city finally cracks down on not only the lawbreakers and crime families but the rampant corruption within the NYPD and city government itself. However, such groups as the Purple Dragons and the costra nostra led Tony "Twist" Twatchsitti are fiercely fighting back to keep the streets of New York there's. However, heroes of the night have risen to take up the mantle and fight back against those who pray upon the weak. There have been many stories and sighting of them, but the only concrete details involve a group of reptiles that stalk the night, a flock of winged demons, and a man who protects the harmless vagrants of his alley, known only by his charges as "Al"........

But while the night is well-protected, the criminals and scoundrels, being the cowardly and superstitious lot they are, are scared into broad daylight, committing their atrocities for all to see. However, soon enough a champion arrives in New York, an angel coming straight from the Heavens to become the defender of the day the city truly needs.........

No, really, that is NOT a metaphor. Kid's a literal angel. His name's Pit and he like hamburgers.

With the angel's coming, it comes tidings of stranger things to come. Cyborgs, aliens, and creatures of myth and magic will come to New York, forcing these all of these heroes to join forces and face the coming storm......a powerful, terrible storm that would involve the forces and Heaven and Hell itself.........

The giant radioactive dinosaur thingy stomping through New York is as good a start as any.
