Wire fu isn't what I'm talking about; and in the hands of experts is beautiful, what I'm talking about is having people in the role who can't play out the action in real time; so combat consists of a set of rapid cuts to stitch it all together.
Having combat take place with in-obtrusive camera work is so rare now that The Raid is considered ground breaking.
They should get the people that do the casting on Arrow, they're actors are good at the physical stuff that's required. Caity Lotz especially.
Marvel has confirmed that the Daredevil series will be run by Drew Goddard, director of The Cabin in the Woods

Trump delenda estSo it's gonna bomb. Great.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117About Goddamn time. His stories lend themselves particularly well to an hour long drama series.
Wasn't Cabin in the Woods that horror movie deconstruction that people thought was cool?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersYes
Trump delenda estEveryone on this forum but me, anyways. I still hold out that Wes Craven did it better.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatTHANK YOU. Drew Goddard is an untalented hack.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117I gotta say, it's like he saw New Nightmare and decided that what needed to improve that story was to take away the likable protagonist and replace the one monster threatening to break through with a billion of 'em.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatFor me, Cabin In The Woods was a pretty great film.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Who do you think they are going to get to play The Kingpin?
Isn't a Doctor Strange film in the works? Though I'd love to see it as a series as well.

Hmm, perhaps Nonso Anozie?
On the sliding scale between "Not Trash" and "Trash", I 'd definitely put it closer to the "Trash" side.

Trump delenda estDoctor Strange has been confirmed as a Phase III film.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Neat! So Ant-Man and Dr. Strange for phase three?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI don't think its been 100% confirmed, but its as close as it can get otherwise.
What does this have to do with the Netflix shows, though? Dr Strange is not a street level character and has nothing to do with the characters they are showcasing.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comAgents Of Shield isn't terrible, but it definitely needs to find its footing and get straight where it's going to go. But a lot of what feels off about it feel like "first season problems," at least to me, so it's probably going to improve with time (I hope).

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Dr. Strange is the one usually responsible for setting up the Defenders, which will be part of these new four shows.
He's responsible for setting up the Defenders. . . when they are a team that has *nothing to do with the TV series premise whatsoever*. Given that the miniseries is a crossover teamup of four street level people, its clear they are stealing the name for a completely unrelated usage.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comPossibly. We don't really know - the power level of the heroes shouldn't automatically disqualify certain other characters from appearing, and even though Marvel's foray into live action tv hasn't exactly been great with comics canon, I'd like to believe that they didn't just choose the name for no reason.
In short, we have about as much to go on that Doc Strange is involved as you do that he isn't.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. Not really. We know the four characters who *are* showing, and they are consistent with the "its just the name" theory, while having no even conceivable connection to Dr Strange. The only rationale for including Dr Strange would be to force a connection with the comic usage of the Defenders name, which goes against Marvel Studios practice to date. Especially since a Dr Strange *movie* is almost certainly in the works.
