Well, you're not wrong.
But if I'm honest, I really wanted to see more, like how was Granny's relationship with Bronagh like, or what their surname is, or even hear some more of Saoirse talking.
Speaking of Saoirse, does anyone know her voice actress has a Vine page?
Or what Vine even is? If I had to guess, it's apparently some fusion of You Tube and Twitter, but hey, any of your guesses are as good as mine, right?
I bought the DVD and watched it with my dad, he thought it was really good and actually stayed awake through it (he always falls asleep watching TV). This is the second time I've watched it and the ending almost made me cry both times. I don't know if it made my dad cry, but I wouldn't be surprised since he cries at Disney movies. We're saps.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Not exactly SOTS related, but still Cartoon Saloon related:
Has anyone seen Puffin Rock? It's on Nick Jr.. in the UK and pretty much everywhere else on Netflix. I managed to watch a few episodes and...it's cute.
Yeah, it's clearly meant for preschoolers, but if it's from the same team behind SOTS, can you blame a guy for taking a peek?
Would you believe that I never knew about how puffins and seagulls were bitter rivals until I saw Puffin Rock?
And hey, if the reception gets good enough, we just might see Ellie the Ace appear via Netflix.
Cartoon Saloon related news that's admittedly a few weeks old:
Cartoon Saloon and Mercury Filmworks join forces to launch Lighthouse Studios!
So great news if you were living in Ireland and were in the market for a job related to animation.
Oof, this thread got old...
Anyway, just an itty bitty microscopic heads up.
As of this posting, Song of the Sea is officially on Netflix.
So assuming Kells is still there, that means you can legally watch all three movies by Cartoon Saloon on Netflix.
(Wonder if it's because there's some deal between GKIDS and Netflix to stream the movies distributed by GKIDS on Netflix. Not complaining, just commenting.)
I hope Lighthouse studios continues to excel! I havent watched anything by them but the art in their movies look so promising and charming.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Me too. Even though The Breadwinner didn't really work for me. But there movies fill a very nice niche which needs to get covered by someone.

Well, the film's world is based in Irish myth. Theoretically you could probably experience more of it by looking up books on Irish folklore and mythology.
