As someone on Danbooru said: "Graf is a footnote of history, but Aquila is a footnote of Graf's footnote."
There just isn't a whole lot one can do with Aquila, yet. Who knows, maybe they'll think of some shtick to for her to grab onto later. At least she's foreign. Heck, if she was a Japanese ship, she'd be at Shouhou levels of popularity.
Minazuki can show up in Mutsuki-class group shots, that's all she's got going for her right now. But hey, when you have 100+ characters, it's inevitable that some are going to get shafted in characterization and popularity.
But Shouhou has her half-sleeve and the question of her fate.
Speaking of her, she also has the best cat cutout pic. You know, some memes really don't make any sense...
Check out my fanfiction! She does pull that off pretty well. I'll give her that.
Contrary to previous believes, One-Eyed Wo doesn't seem to be back. Aside of having both eyes, she doesn't have those shoulderpads she had.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Shame. I am no fan of abyssals but that Wo was one of the better characters in the anime. She had real motivation. Still, the abyssals in that scene seemed zombie-like as if they were being resurrected. It could still be the same Wo this time with both eyes and in base form
Interesting opening scene though. Seems there will be a lot more Potato on Hotel teasing than with Kongou. Likewise, Kaga has more scenes with Zuikaku. Shoukaku doesn't even appear
"If music be the food of love, PLAY ON" - William ShakespeareInteresting to show the Abyssals struggle in combat, and not the fleet girls.
Well, more Choukai, Gassa, and a little bit of Akashi. I'm good.
Check out my fanfiction!Don't think I saw Akagi either, for that matter.
Cool. Except I said Akagi, not Akashi.
Ah, apologies. My mistake. Didn't notice her for some reason.
Actually, I do know the reason. I was too busy noticing Akashi to pay attention to who else was there.
Watching again, she's also at 1:00. Man, I really must not have been paying attention.

I already mentioned Akashi, though.
Check out my fanfiction! This is my Warspite headcanon (aside of the medical drops).
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Looks about right to me
No further news on the movie? Well, here's something for you guys to mull on. You know how the Kongou girls' outfits have detached sleeves, right? That means their armpits are more or less completely visible whenever their upper arms aren't held close against their torso.
... and then I just read a doujinshi where Kongou — Kongou, of all shipgirls — unexpectedly becomes a Shrinking Violet if she's forced to expose her armpits. Apparently, it didn't occur to her at all that her outfit design is just begging for such a thing to happen.
Now imagine if this becomes the popular way for handling Kongous in the KanColle world. "Your Kongou is proving too energetic and wild? Want her to act more ladylike? Just force her to lift up her arms and expose her armpits in public as punishment/training. She'll turn demure and shy in no time flat!"

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
You surprised? Kadokawa's been VERY closed-mouthed about it, and barring the trailer, we've heard zilch about anything about it.
That's unfortunate.
On a different note... Are fan-made MMD-based animations of KanColle that aren't based on the official anime on-topic?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
Anything related to MMD is off-topic, by it's very nature. :)
a) MMD models are not exclusively from Kancolle. Indeed, for years, they were used for Touhou music videos, and b) they rarely, if ever, get used to actually tell a story (instead being used for aforementioned dance music videos).
I think the big issue here is a lot of the supplements are Japanese-language only, and as such, not easy fodder for discussion.
Heck, I have MOST of the Kagerou books, but I can't discuss any of it either.
That doesn't mean it's off topic. I mean, since you brought Touhou up, just about anything Touhou-related is talked about in that thread. Games, mangas, stuff ZUN said, any kind of the very numerous fanworks...
MMD models not being exclusive to KanColle isn't a reason to not talk about KanColle animations made with MMD. Those are still KanColle animations, and as such, the right thread to talk about them would be a KanColle thread. Doesn't matter if they tell a story, or if it's a run-of-the-mill music video. Probably less interesting to talk about, but that's just subjective.
There are two problems with something that's Japanese-only: spoilers, and not having anyone to talk with about it. Spoilers probably aren't all that relevant for this stuff, but it would be if, say, the film got released in Japan but no translation appeared. That'd mean it would be spoilers for anyone who doesn't speak Japanese. The second, not having anyone to talk about it, is really just a practical problem. It's just harder to talk about something only one person has taken part of.
Check out my fanfiction!I wonder if shipgirls have to deal with barnacles growing on their stuff.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!
It's more like five days or so. And when compared to other ships from the update, who have at least three pages of pictures (even Seaport Summer Princess has two pages), that is just sad. Now I can't say the same from other updates, but you know.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!
