Larkmarn, I don't get what you're saying. I thought the whole point of YMMV was that it *was* for subjective tropes. So what's the problem?
There's a limit to the amount of subjectiveness a trope can have, and this is just incredibly subjective, without any way to resolve it. I've seen some comically outlandish X Meets Y suggestions, but there's no real system in place to judge whether it's valid or not.
