Gonna hurt!(sudden Pikeman to kick QB out of fireball's range)

(taking the blast for him though, gets blown several meters away. Slowly gets up) How about you try someone of your size?

-Kyubey is kicked out of the fireball's way, tumbling across the road.-

-Also, both fighters may hear a feminine cry of rage echoing through the street, and see a bright flash of golden light from a nearby rooftop-

(twirls his spear before pointing it at the fireball ring dude)

(before said cry gets his attention, as he looks away like a tool)

The Worker gives the pikeman a slightly annoyed look, and a black sword appears in a flash of blue light in his hand, and he dashes at amazing speed into the pikeman's face, and releases his Super Attack, a massive shockwave, throwing everything not nailed down back several metres with a concussive strike.

-Mami Tomoe jumps off the roof, and summons and points a rifle at the original figure-

"Kyubey is a dear friend of mine. Who, may I ask, are you?"

-And then she's thrown backwards by the shockwave, but manages to land on her feet, skidding backwards-

-She also manages to hold onto her rifle, and re-corrects her aim at (The Worker?)-

"I ask again: Who are you?"

(looks back to Worker just in time to frantically block though that still knocks him back a fair amount of meters)

(kinda has no time to respond to Mami's appearance as he hops away before going for a stab on his enemy)

He stops briefly to give the newcomer a casual, uncaring look, again, the same emotionless stare.

Hmph. I suspected it was a trap. Well, no matter...

Without so much as taking his eyes off her rifle, The Worker parries the stab with no effort, and slashes with brutal force at the Pikeman's hand, hoping to either disarm him or cut it off.

(blocks the incoming slash though it just barely misses his hand) I'd love to have some help, miss, because this fellow is crazy.(swings the spear's blade at him, aiming at his arm)

Is the grey text his speech, or simply thoughts?

-Mami nods at the spearman, and fires at The Worker when she thinks it won't hit the spearman-

-The magic rifle fires a large, explosive ball of energy-

-Not strong enough to kill; the effect if it hits would be more like Punched Across the Room-

His speech. He's an immortal, near omniscient, Mad Scientist, so talking to himself is kinda expected.

The Worker, this time, leaps over the Pikeman with an acrobatic flip, dodging both the blast and slash, and thrusts the Infinity Blade forward for a backstab.

-Mami summons a couple more rifles, and fires a couple more similarly disabling blasts at him, careful to avoid hitting the pikeman-

"Why are you attacking us, hm? What is the reason for your hostility?" -sounding perfectly calm and collected, as though she wasn't on a battlefield, firing on him-

I wouldn't know. He just up and fireballed that little cat-hare-thing, thankfully it came out relatively unharmed.(throws himself forward to avoid the backstab)

(spends time gathering himself)

The Worker offhandedly deflects the blasts by activating a shield made of Hard Light onto his arm, but it shorts out afterwards, and interrupts his backstab.

He stops to give the two a look of curiosity and admiration.

You two are such interesting individuals. Do you realise that?

He strides casually to the Pikeman, with no sign of aggression.

I would have mistaken you for another mere soldier, another lowly pikeman. But there is something more to you than what I expected...

-Mami steps forward, in front of the pikeman, and cocks a rifle directly in the Worker's face-

"Stop. Don't take one more step. Tell me who you are, and why you attacked Kyubey, and why you're attacking this man, who only tried to defend the innocent. And then I might let you walk away."

Yeah, what she said.(gets out from behind Mami and hoists the pike to keep Worker out of reach, but makes no other motion)

Without so much as batting an eyelid, the Worker grabs the barrel of the rifle in his free hand, and activates his Incarnate Dark spell, creating a black hole in his hand that crumples the rifle into a tiny ball of super-compressed metal, which hits the ground with a loud thud.

Questions, questions, questions. Ah, you so-called "heroes" always have that fascinating sense of righteousness and loyalty to you. Always rooting for their friends and for justice.

The Deathless carelessly flicks a small metal disk at Mami, while off-handedly fiddling with his Infinity Blade.

(jumps in to block the disk) You have some courage, fellow. Or are insane enough to not care about yourself.

-Mami sidesteps the disk, and trains another rifle on the Worker-

"Talk. I'm running out of patience."

-A magic glow surrounds the rifle, and it grows twice as big and starts Sucking-In Lines-

The Worker watches as the disk silently clamps itself onto the Pikeman's weapon. He stares at Mami's glowing weapon, and fiddles with one of his rings.

Do you listen to yourselves, sometimes? You really are something special.

"And what's that supposed to mean?"

-the magical BFG keeps Sucking-In Lines, maintaining its charge-

Well, I guess you're right. I'm a war vet, miss over there is a competent witch. What of it?(keeps the pike to halt any of Worker's would-be advances)

-Mami raises an eyebrow at the pikeman's choice of words, but dismisses it-

The Worker continues to fiddle with his rings and Infinity Blade, and some sparks fly as he tinkers. He doesn't lift his head at the BFG, and has a very obvious casual tone to him.

-Mami fires her BFG, but the blast it fires stops just short of the Worker, and instead of slamming into him, it splits into several golden streaks which swarm around him and attempt to bind him-
