It wasn't meant to be all-inclusive. Just didn't bother listing all current 24-ep series I also like.
Check out my fanfiction!Imo Cho should do itself a favor and just be a full blown hentai. It's written with all the ridiculousness of one but without the pay off.
I'd prefer toning it down or rewriting that stuff.
Check out my fanfiction!Yeah, oddly enough Imo Cho manages be creepy in all sorts of ways, but the incest thing is well... Pretty harmless. They're not only Not Blood Siblings, but they've just met.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntWorst anime of the season for me would be Mahou Sensou. Worse writing than Imo Cho (which I've already dropped) and there's other urban fantasy LN shows to pick from, every single one of them superior.
The rest of the shows are good, or at least have enough good points that I can stick with them.
worst anime of the season (and also worst anime EVER,period) has to be Robot Girls Z. I'm litterally in phisical pain through my whole body while I'm watching it and it's an insult to some of the greatest and most classic Super Robots
To me, the worst anime of this season (and the worst ever) is D-Frag. I find the absurd comedy is too absurd that I cringe over it and I couldn't care less about anything in it, which lead to me dropping it after only one episode. At least I cared about the characters from Koroshiya-san: The Hired Gun, another anime which is just as bad.
In contrast, at this rate, Future Card Buddyfight will be anime of this season. It takes balance between the in-universe seriousness and out-universe cheesiness, along with well choreographed battles, likeable characters and mature writing. The only bad thing about it is the OP and ED, which are the worst of this season.
I agree with fillerdude. Out of all the stuff I'm watching Mahou Sensou seems to be trying its hardest to waste potential shove bland characters in our face and generally create boring writing.
I mean I probably still enjoyed it more than Super Sonico, but that's only because Mahou Sensou can still produce interesting ideas (to squander). I have to acknowledge that Super Sonico the anime is more competently executed.
Even more than Strike the Blood?
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialSuper Sonico is one of those that really doesn't have much to it. One of the simplest series at the moment. But it doesn't pretend to be anything more than it is, and it does what does very well, which makes it very relaxing. Even when there are zombies.
D-Frag I find is one of the better. It's silly and stupid, but it works, and most of the characters are at least likeable with a few being awesome.

Check out my fanfiction!x5
you're kidding, right? RGZ is hilarious. poking fun at the classics is its whole point.
I'd throw Wizard Barristers in, but I do think Mahou Sensou is worse, although both seem to squander decent concepts at a pretty good clip. With Wizard Barristers none of characters made me care about them, but they wern't really dislikeable either. Mahou Sensou had some that were actually annoying.
The problem with Wizard Barristers is they totally botched the courtroom aspect but still focus on it. They key to a courtroom drama is portraying the law in a way that both produces interesting conflicts and still allows people to be clever. And...that didn't happen. It would have been better off just using the court stuff as a setting framework and being a straight action series. (That action is at least somewhat competently executed).
To be fair, they did tackle a difficult concept. They key to court room drama is that that protagonists have to work within the confines of the law and can't just do what they want and get away with it. So it's basically hard to blend courtroom and action. Or if they are going to blend the two....they have to be pretty clever about it. Anyway, that didn't happen here.
It might be due to not being that familiar with the what it was referencing(I expected this to be a disadvantage myself), but RGZ was surprisingly funny.

As I have said a couple of times before on these forums I am someone who always enjoys every anime that I watch but even I would say that Mahou Sensou is definitely the weakest show that I am watching at the moment.
My favourite new series on the other hand are D-Frag, Witch Craft Works, Saki Zenkoku-hen and World Conquest Zvezda Plot.

I'm serious. It's not funny , just painful. REALLY PAINFUL
the day the episode with the getter girl airs, Ken Ishikawa will roll in his grave.
It's complete shit. and the opening is REALLY annoying

considering that he was friends with Go Nagai, I honestly doubt he would be offended by a parody anime that hits most of the tropes of his creation squarely on the head, with added cute girls in outfits.
also, the opening is fun, but the ending is definitely better.
IMO Go Nagai is the perfect example of falling into the dark side. he started good but right now he does nothing but bad works (Mazinkaiser SKL , Shin Mazinger, Robot Girls Z) so no matter what you say , you won't change my opinion of Robot Girls Z. the cute girls are the worst part of the show , they are literally annoying and bratty. Everyone complains about how Nobunaga from Nobunaga the Fool is a Jerkass (when what he did in episode 6 apparently was also done by the real Nobunaga). yet no one complains about how the Robot Girls ara annoying brats with 0% of the personality of the characters from the shows the fail to parody.I can't understand it

Pretty sure them being brats is the point.
Yeah. I made a note in the series thread that I questioned whether there were any good guys in that series at all.
Check out my fanfiction!the heroines being bratty and overpowered bullies is the point, and a nice role reversal. plus, it allows empathy for the villains being pitiful.
anyway, I'm not trying to convince you or anything; parodies can be accepted or not, and there's nothing bad about the latter. I would have actually dropped the matter, but I was slightly more ticked off by the "Ken Ishikawa would be rolling is his grave" comment. the man worked with Go Nagai on Cutey Honey, and has never been above lampshade hanging of tropes in his work.

and pretty sure Nobu being a jerk is the whole point of Nobunsga the Fool because that's how Nobunaga was in real life , yet it doesn't stop people from complaining about it. I know them being brats is the point. AND THAT'S PRECISELY WHY I HATE THE SERIES. because the concept is annoying and I don't feel pity over villains that mock classic fearsome enemies.man, it just ticks me off. I hate the whole moe-ecchi fad A LOT. It's the cancer of anime with Robot Girls Z being the ultimate proof
..Jesus christ, calm the fuck down, it's just a show.
Saying Ken Ishikawa is rolling in his grave is hilarious, since he and Go Nagai constantly lampshaded and mock their own tropes at many points in their career.
Watch SymphogearThere's nothing that stops people from complaining about stuff, as you've just shown. People like to complain.

Check out my fanfiction!Plus, y'know, us western audiences tend to not be familiar with the specific assholish things the historical Nobunaga didnote , but Japanese audiences are, meaning we're less willing to look past them than the target audience.
Robot Girls Z is hilarious show.
I thought Witchcraft Works was 12 episodes?
