Yeah, the important thing to remember is that while there's almost certainly someone out there who's better than you are, you almost certainly aren't the worst either. It's just that we tend to look at accomplishments in terms of where we wish we were. I mean, I can gripe about how I'm not really all that popular of a fanfic author compared to the authors of stuff like Past Sins, but on the flipside, I'm not one of the thousands of authors who wrote one or two crappy My Immortal-quality shipfics that only got a dozen views before disappearing into the ether. No, I'm not famous or awesome, but given that most of the stuff I write is intended to amuse myself, I figure I'm doing pretty well, all things considered.

Speaking of which, does anybody want to help proofread that fanfic I mentioned earlier? It's only 4,000 words.

My life is actually great too. I just run into the Always Someone Better effect occasionally.

One time I met Geohot and I was thinking 'I'm 22 and I haven't pssied off a major multinational company yet, what am I doing with my life?' Which is completely irrational.

@Mio: Somebody made a joke about how Celestia likes making stained glass windows commemorating every important event in the show, so I ran with the idea that she's started "commemorating" things that don't really merit it.

@Story: I'm glad I haven't pissed off a major company. Also, for every 22-year-old who's shaking up the universe, there are a million who will be lucky to get a job at a gas station.

Been playing lots of Bravely Default. They fixed a lot of the ridiculously overpowered FFV classes for it, but I miss the classic version of Rapid Fire ._. At least using BP is more 'perishable' and can stack with Cleave and Adrenaline, plus each hit got a tiny power buff over the old !Rapidfire command.

Yeah, Luna explicitly compares it to the cover a pulp comic. Honestly, I'm currently trying to decide whether I should just make the whole thing entirely silly, or tie it into Celestia's characterization. If I do the latter, her obsession with making ridiculous windows stems from the fact that she was forced to buckle down and be serious after Luna's banishment, and after centuries of being a Reasonable Authority Figure she feels that Luna's return has given her some license to be more informal. I'd like to explore that side of her character a bit more, but I'm not sure if this story is the right place for it.

I call the Element of Negative Plane. Life has a tendency to turn things that are traditionally good or neutral into traps, which is why I can almost never take anything at face value. As for my most successful things, I have my choice between an obscure adventure fanfic or an obscure trollfic. *Fluttershyyay.gif*
