It looks fine to me, except for the tab thing thing that blocks way too much of the screen and moves with the window. I'm wondering if that's a glitch, since it's blocking about a quarter of the window, but it seems to happen in both Fire Fox and Chrome. I agree that links would probably be more convenient, though.

New MN9 trailer.

I love how it's so...quirky. Kinda like how it references the cheesy ads from America.

Release date is now Feb 9.

There's a *new?* mode where everything will OHKO Beck..

That ohko mode is nothing new.the game was known to have this for awhile this...this is actually a good trailer. what ruins it is how desperate they sound. it's good they acknoweldge the hate its been getting, but could they have acknowledged it without going 'See?! see how fun it is?!'

I have been playing the Demo a bit. (I did not realize I have it.) It's really fun and it does not even have the boss powerups so I am looking forward to this game.

That newest trailer actually made me chuckle.

"...'One hit death maniac mode.' But that's just what we call it. You'll be calling it 'why are you doing this to me?!' " [lol]

I laughed at that part (and the 'Vernon' thing) too, lol.

Probably because I imagine the "Why are you doing this to me" being said in Beck's POV.

I would laugh even harder if Beck says that in the actual game in a rare chance during dying in the mode.

I feel it was an odd mix of Movie Trailer Deep Male Voice and Cheesy Overly Excited 90s Videogame Ad.

On the other hand, the comments are fucking entitled.

I just noticed something odd. I think the trailer showed a glimpse of the final stage.

About 18 seconds in. Cyrosphere on the right, Seismic and Brandish in the background, and Countershade on the top platform.

I thought only one will help Beck (like how Pyrogen helps Beck in Cyrosphere stage, Cyrosphere for Dynatron etc) unless this is a different stage close to the final where multiples will help Beck?

Really? ALL of them are entitled? annoying yes, but honestly its a far cry from last year and early 2015. From what I'm seeing people are getting mad that A. its not like mega man, whch does make some sort of sense. iconic as it is classic mega man is one of the simplest things to make B some people saying the game looks fun btu the grapics are awful. then theres C the trolling people who keep screaming about MEGA MAN like anyones going to listen.

To be quite honest the more people see this game the more i see 'meh' reactions, from people who have either not played megaman for years or never heard of it. adn this trailer is not helping as many people seem to find the announcer annoying( i found him funny and a nice sendup to those 90s game commercials you saw on VHS)

And lastly after playing the gunvolt demo i think i see two problems: it really is the graphics that will determine this franchise's success. It's like the 3ds's graphics. from what ive heard on forums the game looks better when not filtered through a youtube video. you have to see it for yourself.

secondly, the game looks slow compared to gunvolt. its a side effect of the 3d where they have more frames to work with, and as a result it looks slower and easier if you watch someone play on youtube or a video site.

And lastly there seem to be a growing number of people who dont like it and thinks its megaman, people who dont know the history of the game and wondering why they didn't just make a megaman game, etc.

Again, I feel that this game has to seriously impress, considering all the hype that has surrounded it and the major plans Inafune (who I have lost serious respect for due to his actions at Capcom) has for it. Because if it turns out to be merely So Okay, It's Average, then the backlash will intensify and I doubt he'll get the funding to make another kind of game like this again.

it probably IS going to be So Okay, It's Average, frankly.

I mean, part of that might be the public's fault for thinking this game was going to be substantially better than it realistically was going to be, but part of that might be inafune and comcept's fault in how they presented the whole thing. the red ash fiasco was also quite dumb; it was honestly kind of presumptuous to ask people money for another kickstarter project, considering the fact that MN 9 was already under scrutiny at that point, AND hadn't come out yet.

Either way, I think people have wisened up that crowdfunds carry with them a substantial amount of danger, ideal as they may look on paper.

It might be worth noting here that Capcom was hesitant to do much with Mega Man because his games weren't selling very well in the first place. Part of that might be their fault to begin with (sorry capcom, i like classic and all but it would be nice to see other/new subseries get representation as well) but they can't really be blamed for not wanting to lose more money than they already have.

Yeah, now that I've had more time to think about it, it pretty much was time to give the MM franchise a bit of a rest. And it's not like they've completely abandoned it, as they are still cranking out merchandise and spin-off material for it. Now if only they'd release an X Legacy Collection.....

And this is why hype is a bad thing.

And I'm concerned at this point that the Mega Man fandom might be headed the way of the Sonic fandom — into unpleasable territory, basically. There are more Mega Man games, yes, and more places for it to go, but there is just a significant number of Mega Man fans that seem to feel perfectly justified in being seriously (not just facetiously) angry at Capcom for perceivedly snubbing their favorite franchise.

i don't necessarily think they are unpleasable as the sonic fanbase. even with all the sub-series, most fans have a consensus on what games are good and what games aren't. some people like other subseries more of course, but it's mostly just a preference thing and not the RUINED FOREVER that you get with sonic.

i don't really feel like any megaman series besides legends really got the shaft. Zero and BN even got to have very definitive, satisfying conclusions to their storylines. and keep in mind, legends was never a big seller anyways.

to be honest, capcom mismanaged legends 3 entirely. they shouldn't have gotten everyone excited about their involvement being taken into consideration and stuff, or hell even ANNOUNCED THE GAME, if they weren't sure that it was a good idea to do so and until was a ways into development.

Remember how they said the game wouldn't be delayed for a third time and that a sequel was already being talked about? Well, this email just went out:

To the fans eagerly awaiting the release of Mighty No. 9,

Unfortunately, we have an announcement that will be very disappointing to all of you. In preparation for the February release of Mighty No. 9 we have been working hard with our partners to resolve any network issues and porting work necessary to publish Mighty No. 9 on the various platforms. However, the issues relating to the network modes were more critical than expected, and it has become apparent that we will need to delay the game from its February 9th release date. We have been working up until the very last moment to resolve these issues in order to make the February release, but it has become clear that we no longer have enough time to fix the issues and have everything prepared for release.

The reason for the delay is rooted in bugs inside the network modes, and specifically problems with matchmaking. There are two large reasons for this problem, one of them being the large number of platforms supported (the solution for each platform is slightly different) and the other stems from the fact that the engine we are using is no longer being updated which means adjustments for matchmaking and online code are being made manually (actually reprogramming parts of the engine by the dev team themselves). Unfortunately, this is all a result of miscalculations on the part of us, the development staff. As a result, our fans who have been looking forward to Mighty No. 9 have been forced to wait for over half a year longer than expected, and for that we are sincerely sorry. I want to take this chance to apologize personally, and on the behalf of the development staff.

Over the end of the year break and the beginning of 2016, the development staff has been working on these issues non-stop without break, and thanks to their hard work the end is in sight. We continue to make progress to resolve these last issues that have been holding up the release of the game on the different platforms.

Because we are constantly working on it in cooperation with all our partners, we want to wait and make sure that everything is confirmed to be ready before giving a new specific release date. But we expect it to realistically be in Spring 2016.

For this 3rd delay of the game, we have no excuses for disappointing our fans and especially our backers once more. We want to take this chance to express our sincerest apologies to everyone who has looked forward to the release.

Although we are far past our original release date, the release of Mighty No. 9 is still right around the corner. We are all working hard to make sure that we can finish and release the game to all of our fans as quickly as possible, and ask once more for your support of this project that we have created together over these last few years.

Keiji Inafune

The game was going to be out in 2 weeks and now we don't even have a date.
