Well, haven't there been live action productions of Japanese anime/manga/games with more... surreal concepts? I can't see a live action No 9 movie being too difficult to pull off.

There were a couple Death Note movies (and a musical), a Phoenix Wright movie, and Casshern Sins, so... I guess it could work.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Live-action is just going too far.
This is only going to increase belief that this is the Kickstarter money isn't being used for the game and that Inafune has no idea what he's doing/scammed them.
I'm only here to get the game then I'm out.
On another thought, how did Azure Striker Gunvolt get pass without a Kickstarter? It just...popped out of nowhere without any warning but it did got some praise anyway.

Since I already pledged I'll get the game when it comes out but unless it's really good I'm probably just going to avoid Inafune's games in the future.
I think it's because Inti Creates helped. But large chunks of the story and characterization were cut out when the game came overseas.
The Protomen enhanced my life.same here.
Wow.
Between this, and the Red Ash kickstarter. I think Inafune is burning through his goodwill in a reaaaal hurry.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans. If the game and this end up bombing, I think this will be quickest amount of time a major game creator becomes a Fallen Creator in years.
Watch SymphogearI'm not even sure what to say about this.
The drama continues! http://www.gameranx.com/updates/id/29046/article/mighty-no-9-copies-mega-man-and-insults-comcept-s-old-home-argues-hideki-kamiya/
Kamiya worked on Okami, the Resident Evil series, Viewtful Joe, Devil May Cry, and Bayonetta, so he's well-versed in Capcom stuff. He's also apparently famous for such Twitter posts.
The fact that all of this stuff is happening in very quick succession (Red Ash controversy, MN 9 live-action movie controversy, MN 9 demo/E3 controversy [people thought it was underwhelming] and now this) doesn't bode well. On the other hand, September is still 3 months away,

The Protomen enhanced my life. Not to question your intelligence, but September is in 2 months.
Um, isn't it kinda justified since Capcom didn't want to do something new that is Mega Man related?
If PlatinumGames somehow gets the license to do a brand new Mega Man X game and the first choice of director is Hideki Kamiya, his response will basically be "HA HA HA—No".
kamiya talks shit about everything and everyone. i'm not sure why this makes headline news. i actually didn't know kamiya held capcom in any particularly high regard even now until recently, but whatever.
This is from Kamiya's Trope page, specifically the entry for Berserk Button:
that's where i found out, actually, his trope page.
I can see where Kamiya is coming from; there's a thin line between being inspired by former series and straight up Self-Plagiarism.
I also do find it kind of sketchy that Inafune already launched a new Kickstarter before he's even delivered with his game yet.

What's special about the signature edition?
Kamiya doesn't have much wiggle room ere, though. Bayonetta seems a little like his old work, too.
I get the feeling that they've had a personal falling out...
They have, from what I hear Kamiya hates Inafune.
Is this a Jo Jo reference?@ Kostya:
It's got stuff like the Beck figure and something autographed by Inafune.
"Lack of availability"?
Hmmmm...
edited 10th Jul '15 3:22:45 PM by TargetmasterJoe
So what does this mean? o.o Would they be able to get the normal copy of the game? Are ANY signature editions available?
The Protomen enhanced my life.
How would that even work in live action!? Beck's main gimmick is to disintegrate himself and absorb other robots into himself. It's something better suited for a cartoon, I think.
EDIT: on the other hand it'd probably be less expensive than a cartoon...
