I don't see any charge shots or wall jumps, and dash is also a kind of an attack.
Dashing is meant to destroy enemies more permanently since it appears Beck is using his xels to break down the structure of the hostiles.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Looking good so far! I wonder how far they are in development.
And absorbing them. Don't forget that.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Personally I would have envisioned a more complex system to Beck's health/energy based on the Xel count in his body, so he can "level up" by absorbing more of them.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I know this is probably old by a few weeks or so, but no one seems to be talking about it so:

So the Support Character is officially named Patch and now they're gonna decide on a color scheme from the 3 that came out the best, right?
Is it me, or does the red color scheme remind you guys of E-102 Gamma?
Going back to more recent news, Call's redesign consists of a different design in her "headphones", a slightly different jacket design and what else? Or is it just those two?
Voice acting and an animated series? Interesting stuff. Not sure if I'll contribute though. I already gave them enough money to get the game at launch for free.
The voice acting i'm good with, BUT A FREAKIN' ANIMATED SERIES?! I smell scams.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceWould the money he raises go to the series or is that a separate thing? He doesn't list that as a stretch goal.
Sounds like a separate thing. He said that DF did everything for the teaser, and this FAQ says that they're pursuing other avenues of funding for the series itself. Any of the Pay Pal funds seem to be going into miscellaneous features for the game.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Animated Series is it's own thing not being funded by them. Extra money is to put more features in the game its self like Voice acting.
You look happy, I can change that if you want.I like that Beck has a sense of flair.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersLink to new funding area.

You look happy, I can change that if you want.4 million and you couldn't get VA?
Ugh...My hype is plummeting.
This feels slimy as hell.

ENGLISH VA. Note that they have JP VA's already in by default.
Or do you need explained how expensive the VA process is?

Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Note that VA's were never once of the stretch goals in the original thing.
I more or less see this as them opening up the funding again to grab more stretch goals.
You look happy, I can change that if you want.I was at the Keiji Inafune panel at Anime Expo. A quick summary of the Mighty No. 9 related portion:
- The animated series was announced. It will get its own funding campaign; none of the money pledged to the game will be used on it.
- There's a second funding campaign which will be purely for additional stretch goals. (Inafune then proceeded to jokingly ask if there were any rich people in the audience, or people with rich friends.)
- They're aiming to make Mighty No. 9 as Nintendo Hard as the NES Mega Man games.
- They're trying their best to make Steam Early Access available ASAP.
Other highlights:
- Inafune said the difficulty of the first Mega Man game was in fact unintended. The developers also play-tested their own games and calibrated the difficulty according to their own experience, failing to take into account that knew the level design really well since they made and play-tested them. Capcom's marketing department had to tell them to tone it down.
- Inafune also said he's seen a lot of people calling themselves Mega Man's "number 1 fan", but since Inafune himself is Mega Man's number 1 fan, he jokingly asked everyone to please call themselves "Mega Man's number 2 fan" instead.
- During the Q&A portion, one audience member asked Inafune if any of the play-testers on Mega Man 1 ever beat the Yellow Devil without the pause glitch. Inafune's reply was one sentence: "*I* can beat it."
Also, I shook Inafune's hand!

Extra 1: Poochy Ain't StupidAs Nintendo Hard as the NES games? I don't have fond memories of the tropes associated with that.
Yellow Devil just has strict timing, once you know the pattern you can beat it reliably.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I didn't even know there was a pause glitch when I fought the Yellow Devil (and this is coming from someone who didn't get to play Mega Man 1 until it showed up in the Gamecube Mega Man Collection game). Sure I died a lot, but the fight's able to be beaten without it (it's just really tedious).
Nice highlights, Poochy.EXE.
That CGi trailer was cute and I'm fine with the idea of a Beck cartoon, but I do feel that it's a bit too soon to be trying to work Mighty No. 9 into an animated series.

God forbid a Spiritual Successor should have some similarities to its predecessor.:/
