[up] The biggest problem is that a majority of people didn't realize Inafune had much less influnce on the series than most thought. People were so pissed at Capcom that they basically threw their money at him. I guess what a certain someone said about Inafune being a businessman first was kinda true.

Yeah no, what this KS showed is that businessman he is not;

I already backed it and I'm sure it's going to be fun at least.

Though Beck's design is really bothering me now with all the emphesis on dashing. Like, when transformations were the major gameplay element in the original pitch, the heavy paneling detail and bulky proportions made sense.

But with dash combos being the major gimmick now, it's just so much weirder seeing it from a character that's built like a kid-sized tank.

The name Deep Silver sounded familiar so I googled it.

They're the ones behind the bloody boob torso to promote Dead Island.

The people behind the Sonic Twitter page need to write for his games.

Who?

Ah, so they are working in conjunction on the MN 9. And also...
"best known for the creation of the Mega Man Zero series[1] and Mega Man ZX series [...] self-published games Azure Striker Gunvolt and Mighty Gunvolt."
" ... gameplay similar to Mega Man Zero ... "

Hmm looks cool.

The twitter reaction is in the news now XD;

Apparently in Japan there's a corporate workplace tendency to take blame for failure all on yourself, and saying someone else is to blame is considered incredibly rude. So for this to happen he must really be angry.

I was kind of looking forward to this game (even if I didn't back it) and it's sad to see what it's become. This has been in development for... what, three, four years now? and it looks like something from ten years ago. And those explosion "graphics" would have been laughed at even then.

So a post on neogaf explained the backlash of the joke to me, that people have to be in a good mood or like you if you want to rib on them.

Well yeah, good natured ribbing between friends is one thing. But context is key. Friends will say all sorts of mean crap to each other because they don't really mean it or they want to poke someone for a laugh.

This is a studio that has a ton of ill will between all the numerous delays and now their first ad is an insult? I expect anger.

RE: Sonic tweet: Hey, that link to a tweet from the Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter from the last page, what was up there?

All it said was something about Sonic still being there for anime fans for prom night and had a picture of him next to a bunch of pizza slices.

Is that suppose to be a Take That! to Mighty No. 9? Because I don't get it...

It's a jab at the "make the bad guys cry like an anime fan on prom night" line in the trailer, the picture in the tweet is a jab at the poor explosions which have been compared to pizza.

[up] Ohhhhhhhh.

See, I didn't watch the trailer after reading how you guys were saying it was badly made, so I had no idea what the Sonic tweet was about and how it involved MN9.

Thanks for the clarifying.

Real talk though, man, this is really getting bad, huh? Not saying it wasn't bad already, but forget saying "things are going From Bad to Worse," this is clearly going from worse to worser.

Also, why bother with the "a certain someone" bit? I think it's fair to say that everyone knows that the "Inafune is a businessman first" line is from Hideki Kamiya. And jeepers, he's sounding more right by the minute. sad

At this point, I might as well forget about MN9 and stick with the Ōkami HD that I got for super-cheap on the PSN. Let's just say I'm starting to see why everybody's in love with Ōkami...wink

Inti Creates CEO calls out on Deep Silver for the advertising trailer of the game.

So it was all Deep Silver and not the team who was behind the advertising. That's kinda... sad. But damn, Deep Silver must have really fucked up to get I.Creates anger.

Lalalei already posted that

You know I have immense respect for Inticreates as a Mega Man maker, but you have to admit that the pizza explosion is partially their fault.

Wonder how Inafune is feeling now. Deep Silver too, surely they couldn't just ignore the anger of their CE Os?

I've been finding that the most common issue that the game has been having publicity-wise is that people are no longer ready to lynch Capcom. When it was first announced, it was seen as an act of defiance against the "evil" corporation in the wake of the Mega Man Legends 3 debacle. Now that people have chilled, they're starting to have buyer's remorse and are wondering what they ever saw in the project in the first place.

I wonder, will this game kill itself AND Megaman as video game franchises though?

I feel like instead of giving Capcom ideas, it might tell Capcom that yeah, this kinda platformer truly is dead...
