Uuh...why is that an Alt Names crowner? We didn't have the rename crowner proper first.

Literally no one has defended this name, but I agree that procedure should be followed.

A proper rename crowner. Going to ask for a crowner switch.

As the front page states, T Vtropes is "a buttload more informal" than That Other Wiki. So if the mods here have decided it's acceptable to go straight to the alt titles, I don't see a problem with that. I've seen that happen before, too; why would we want to be overly bureaucratic about tightly following Da Rulez?

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!

Because deviations from renaming procedure tends to cause bickering.

Especially since there was a previous thread that died without action (for what reason, I don't recall, but it did).

That thread didn't have all that much consensus, either.

Oh, sorry. I thought it was okay to skip that if everyone was in favor.

Is this ready to call?

As for alternate titles, as much as Expendable Alternate Universe is concise, I lean in favor of something like Alternate Universes Are Expendable or What Measure Is An Alternate Universe because I think it places better grammatical focus on the expendability rather than the AU.

There's already an alternative titles crowner, could that be hooked or do we wait?

[up] It's hooked; I'll change the thread title shortly.

Expendable Alternate Universe is the only option in green. 12 supports and 1 oppose give this one an 11.

I know it's a bit late to the voting, but I'll toss in an alternate phrasing. I'm not keen on Expendable Alternate Universe because it's not an adjective inherent to the particular universe in question; it's a matter of "situational ethics". (Kind of like — and I know this isn't the best example either — how a Cover-Blowing Superpower is a matter of situational context, not the power on its own merits)

Before we go through with the rename, has anyone opinions on Sandbox. All The Myriad Ways?

Early on, it was said the description is confusing. Should that be fixed up?

That last sentence is strange. I don't see what For The Want Of A Nail has to do with this trope.

I took it out. Is it good to go now?

Crown Description:

Vote up names you like, vote down names you don't. Whether or not the title will actually be changed is determined with a different kind of crowner (the Single Proposition crowner). This one just collects and ranks alternative titles.
