Touta asked a perfectly valid and sensible question, at the very least. Of course, it doesn't carry that much emotional weight since he has no memories or emotional connections to his parents, and until this chapter he hadn't even talked about them.

"Fate says he (Negi) doesn’t (didn't, I assume?) love a person." As for the complete lack of any romantic resolution, fuck you up the ass with a spiked baton, Hackamatsu, and thank you for more than nine wasted years.

Touta actually did have a semi-decent question, but I'm kind of surprised we got that resolution down already, and its with Fate of all people. I mean...I don't know, I'm a little disappointed that it turned out to be him.

Fate is guaranteed to pull some Itachi bullshit explanation along the way.

Still no Asuna in the flashback images, I think. I recognize Ayaka, Ku, Chisame, Creepy Faceless Chachamaru, Nodoka and Yue, but not the other two. Seriously, why the lack of faces? What's the fucking point? Who does he think he's fooling? Oh, who could this faceless character be, dum, dum, dum...

Also, that Fate drawing is horrible, with the tiny head and the oddly drawn face.

I'm just sort of surprised how ambivalent I am to the spoilers. My pet theory that Negi is still alive and is somehow incapacitated being proved right should make me a little happy, but the delivery seems very dry while its cutting to the chase. This whole thing feels like its just trying to clear away a lot of Negima baggage and exposition in UQ Holder that should have been built up over time, and instead condensing it down to one convenient chapter. Its just so...uninspired.

I think one of them is Makie, but the other one...yeah, that does not ring a bell in the slightest.

Lack of Asuna in the pictures is really weird. If this really is the timeline where she is sealed it means that Negi will still be sealed for next 50 years at least and Eva will simply go "screw it all, I'm out of here" and go search multiverse for some Nagi.

Eh, I mean it is infintely lame that it turned out to be just Fate, but I wouldn't say its OOC for him to kill someone who may be getting in his way. Why he didn't take a diplomatic option (Unless if involves Touta dying to free Negi) I can only guess at. Touta dying to free Negi though...

Negi needing saving was obvious. It's either that or he's dead, because it's obvious he isn't still in the world doing stuff. Honestly, this is probably more interesting.

Hata via 2chan. They come backed with spoiler images and are consistent with Chaos Prophets take on it, so I'd say they're legit.

Fate also claims that saving Negi is the same as saving all mankind. I swear to god, if the Lifemaker is walking around in Negi's skin I'm going to flip a table.

Eh, not for me it isn't. I never believed he was dead to begin with. This does beg the question whether or not he truly met his end by the time Asuna wakes up, or hes still MIA. I don't think Eva would flat out lie to her, but eh. I stopped caring.

Which ANB is citing where they came from, and Hata has noted UQ Holder has yet to have a fake spoiler problem like he claims Negima did.

On one hand, title catches are usually not meant to represent canon events, On the other, I could still totally buy him doing that.

On spoilers: I'll admit, I'm legitimately surprised that every question is related to Touta and/or Negi in some fashion. And they're all legitimate questions at that. Well done on that.

And of course Akamatsu chickens out on saying anything about who Negi wound up with, again. Don't know whether to actually be upset or just find it hilarious at this point. So, how much longer do we keep this game up?

Maybe it's just how it's worded, but I'm getting Mihawk vibes from Fate's "find me when you get stronger" bit. Also, "save Negi, save humanity" can actually work without having to make him Lifemaker's latest host; with everything he's done, Negi's easily exceeded his father, who was basically the hero among heroes.

Overall I'm too indifferent to even call myself cautiously optimistic. Will need to see the chapter in it's entirety first before I can definitely sway one way or the other.

Getting a romantic resolution in Negima is something I've abandoned since the series ended, and truthfully I was never bothered too much...well, aside from all the most popular ships were for all intents and purposes, shot down. 3-A not actually getting their own moment of triumph and only revolving around Negi's continued existence is what ticks me off the most, and we're not even getting any nods that someone, anyone, actually accomplished something as individuals. That shit annoys me to no end. I mean, not even Asuna, the only one whose presumably still a vital role in the whole plan hasn't been brought up or even mentioned.

Man, playing Goat Simulator is more stimulating then reading anything about UQ Holder. That's....pretty sad.

Unless he wanted to make the movie ending canon, making the lack of resolution into a joke is probably better than trying to pick one in when you havn't properly set it up ahead of time.

Eh, a Marry Them All option is a slight improvement, but still reeks a lack of commitment and planning on the authors part. Like I said before, I've never big on shipping for the most part, so the lack of any real closure on who Negi ended up with doesn't bother me too much. Especially when there are worse things to call the series out on. I still don't understand why he shot down most of the popular ships if he wasn't going to bother revealing anything to begin with though. What's the point of that? I wouldn't mind seeing Nodoka and Yue being turned down just to see how they'd react and coup later on, but that's shit I want to see, not regaling it in some post-series mop up.

The movie being canon though is major eww. Like, that's almost as bad as Negima's own ending, despite the fact that it didn't have the derailing Sports Festival arc.

EDIT: So uh...question. As good as Touta's question (People round the webs seems to be acting like hes a friggin genius because of it, but that says more about how moronic he normally is then anything) is, uh...how or why does he suspect his parents were murdered? Up until now, Touta believed they all died in a car crash, and so far we haven't had any inkling that he thought of it any other way up until now. Did he just suddenly remember that little factoid or what? See UQ Holder, this is your problem.Instead of depending on FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT all the fucking time and dumping information between them, spread some of this shit out. Or, and heres a shocker, focus more on character interaction and characterization for a chapter or two. Geez.

Karin, as useless as it was, is pretty in character with her obsession with Not!Eva. Even so, that was a fucking non-answer Fate gave so its a waste either way. On that front, I'll ask again, how in the fuckity fuck did Touta suddenly know his family was murdered? Aside from a non-descript flashback, there's no indication he actually remembered crap. Even Asuna flipped out when she thought remembered her name, despite dismissing it later.

Oh, and to whoever thought that Fate just couldn't smash his way out of the ceiling...well, yeah. Man, what a shit ass plan that was.

"I do not love." So much for the Lifemaker making Fate as bisque porcelain. Man arguably became worse through substituting his devotion to the plan for Negi. He's arguably worse then Dynamis and the others. There's nothing worse then seeing someone that has the capacity for growth and doing absolutely nothing with it. REDACTED

Yeah, I just caught that when I went back to look at the line. Still, he hasn't made any obvious changes since his tenure as antagonist in Negima, so at the very least hes traded his singular focus toward one task for another person. We'll need to see what ramifications saving Negi might bring, but it still seems like the same song and dance to me.

HA HA HA! Oh Kirie, you unbelievable fuckup, your plan was just as fucking useless as people were saying all along. At least the story isn't saying it was actually viable.
