I dunno what game a Greed is from but it reminds me of the old RPG Great Greed, which had the first Gay Option in a video game that made it overseas.
The Protomen enhanced my life. Not the first gay character, though. That's an NPC in Phantasy Star II.
"No will to break."That's cool trivia! :D Which NPC?
The Protomen enhanced my life.To answer Lei's previous question about Greeds: it's from Tokyo Xanadu.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/ADespite not being much of a Touhou fan myself, I bought Touhou Artificial Dreams in Arcadia, which is basically an old SNES-style Shin Megami Tensei game with Touhou girls instead of demons. It's pretty fun, and its scratches that old-school dungeon crawler itch.

Late, but that doesn't actually qualify because it was bowdlerized.
Ustvestia in the Japanese gave discounts to men because he was attracted to them. In the English, he just said they looked smart, so he came across as a misogynist rather than being hinted as gay.

It’s the heavily inspired by Suikoden game.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. The switch version apparently runs like shit, just an fyi.
Also reviews are heavily mixed so far…
Looking at Metacritic, the Switch version of EC has by far the lowest score right now. It also has far fewer reviews.
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.Darn, I enjoyed Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising. Maybe it'll get a good patch down the line?
Compile Heart teases a new project called "Z". It is likely to the Death End Request spin-off Code Zion. Here is the countdown site.

"No will to break."Playing Star Ocean: The Second Story R on the Switch. I played this game way back when on the PS 1, it was one of my first JRP Gs after Legend of Legaia. My disc has since shattered so I'm glad I have this new option. Never did play Rena's story...
I think I'm going to play with Japanese voices though. Not only does the Engish dub lack the Personal Action Events the English voices are... Eh. This marks the first time I switch to Japanese voices when both are available since Xenoblade, which I only did because I hate British people.
Holy crud the Skill/Specialization/IC system is just as needlessly complicated as I remember it being.

Bleye knows Sabers.I said what I said, Limey!
I definitely am glad I played with Japanese voices in Xenoblade because it helped make a certain joke land much better.
Normally I turn my nose up to purists who insist on using the Japanese voice tracks but... Sometimes the dubbing just phones it in. The lack of dubs on the Skits of Tales of the Abyss REALLY hurt that game too.
Bleye knows Sabers. As someone who speaks Japanese I hate to inform you that they also phone in performances.
I've always wondered about that. How much can you tell a performance is good or not in a language you do not speak? I imagine for the average person, while they can't pick up many nuances of a foreign language dub, they can ascertain if a VA job is on the extremes: be it actually dreadful and incompetent or really sincere and emotive.
The stock "KYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAH" sound that a female character makes when embarrassed might as well be coming from a voiceover vending machine at this point...
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerThe English dub (the only dub; the Japanese version uses English with Japanese subtitles to give the same vibe as a B movie) of Resident Evil apparently sounds fine to non-English speakers. All the meme-worthy lines were basically the result of native English speaking actors being given a script written in English simple enough for an audience of Japanese speakers who'd done a bit of English in school to understand. At least according to an unofficial history of the franchise called "Itchy, Tasty" I read the other month.
(pardon the slightly off topic example)
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerOh of course, I'm the one that was trying to avoid the "Japan bettah!" Weeaboo mindset in the first place. I'm talking Star Ocean specifically. Claude consoles Rena by saying her name like he was reading it in a business meeting my God. The performances aren't awful but they need work.
I got sold on the Japanese voices during an early PA event (Which was completely unvoiced in English) where Claude was like "I gotta stay out of sight!" And the VA gave him a hilarious inflection.
Very interesting if true.

Bleye knows Sabers.I've definitely played licensed anime games that adapted scenes from the source where it was obvious that the Japanese voice actors weren't bringing the same level of energy that they did for the original TV show version of those scenes.
My Megaman and MegaTen liveblogsThe site for Death end re;Quest] has been launched. It is worth noting that there is an 18+ rating to the game due to it being Bloodier and Gorier than the previous entries.

Double post, but I today I learned that members of the Geofront (the cool folks behind the translations for The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure) are heading the translations for TX's switch version. Very interested in seeing the final product from them .
Edit: Yay! I'm the pagetopper.
