Is "Obviously the Pilot" a trope yet?
I think that falls under Early-Installment Weirdness
Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority.^^ There's a few tropes that note the qualities pilots tend to have. Animation Bump is one of them, and I think there's a "pilot plot" trope out there (if there is, there should be).
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Well there are some pilot tropes along with ones like Non-Indicative First Episode and Early-Installment Weirdness, where the weirdness here is that suddenly everyone's taking the time to explain things that we already know, or that everyone's gone back in time to reestablish the familiar status quo. I guess I was hoping for a more on-the-nose trope title.

The premire was fantastic. but I bet it's not suprising since most folks already saw the Itunes episodes.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceSo it's Power Puffs Power Couple does Bugs Bunny, right?
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."Nice first episode, wasn't that interested. Didn't laugh once or even smirk at any decent jokes or gags(though I was doing H.W. at the time)
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Really??? I laughed the whole time!
YMMV then.
I was doing an essay for Homework at the time, I'm very focused whenever writing so I never change emotions/expressions during. I also just started actually laughing again in recent times too, so theres that as well.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Mccracken said in an inteview that he's very much a pupil of the "Show Don't Tell" method. He wants the storyboards to still tell you entirely what happens even without the sound. So if you're just listening to the sound in this show, you'll only get like 20% of the experience.
Then i guess the blind are going to have to eat it, since they'll only understand the vocal parts.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceThe opening is an deliberate reference to the "Haters Gonna Hate" meme, right?
No, it was about exploring the world happily.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceBut they even named a character "Hayter"!
Is there something wrong with a guy trying to walk down the road with no cares in that fashion and having a villain with a name that States the obvious fact he's a hater? Or does that confuse you?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceHayter is trying to cover up the shame of his childhood career as a combat butler.
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."Does anyone know where I can find the latest episode? Is it on Disney.com?
NVM. Didn't know there was a new one out.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. It's the same old stuff they've shown all season. I.e. life is sweet if you're a wandering messiah.
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."Actually it seems to me that the lesson was 'doing the right thing can be hard and really out of your way but you should anyway'. I liked it; felt a bit more realistic than most plots revolving around 'be nice to others'.
Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority.I feel like if this were in the hands of Nick, they'd turn this into another male Dora with the whole "Do good onto others" role and downplay Hater as a New age Captain hook.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceSo given the timeslot that's been taken over, does Disney finally have a replacement for Hideous and Herb, er. Phineas?
Of course, given Wander's stoner outlook on life, calling him the "Herb" of this series doesn't seem that far off.

"Show us the Galaxy Warp."The greatness that is Phineas and Ferb can never be replaced.
The problem is, Disney Channel has like 6 or 7 shows that they want to try to cram into 4 timeslots (8-10 PM) on Friday nights. One week it might be Ant Farm, Dog With a Blog, Wander/Fish Hooks, and Liv & Maddie; another might be AF, DWAB, Wander, P&F/FH and then Jessie, a different P&F for an hour on Saturday night; and then a third week could be Jessie, DWAB, Wander/P&F, and L&M.note
Never be normal.
Makes sense. I was about to say it seems like they decided to give us an early preview of a later episode rather than the first episodes. The Greatest (and the Egg) has all the trappings of a first or pilot episode: character establishment, plot establishment (such as it is), a noticeable Animation Bump...
