I downvoted Yoshi, in one pic he's using the tongue for eating and in the others the usage of the tongue (as opposed to, say, a proboscis) isn't as obvious as in the Schlock pic.

This looks fairly decisive.
A shame, because I would've preferred the non-webcomic image (we seriously use a lot of those... I suppose Mario's not exactly underrepresented either, but still).
And before anyone points out that overuse is not the primary criterion on which to judge images: I know. But when the images are (personally) on equal footing with regards to the proper criteria, it seems fair that it should enter consideration.

That being said, does the deliberate manipulation of the context of an image make-or-break a caption candidate? Personally, I think 59 holds some merit. Whether or not that's the one that works best all things considered, I don't know.

Yes. Sarcasm Mode is supposed to be "the creator uses a different font or typographic convention to indicate sarcasm".
We're trying to clear out the sinkholes where it's simply used to indicate "Hey, I'm being sarcastic here."

I was thinking we'd had a discussion along those lines, wanted to confirm one way or the other.

. Most importantly, I can't find any place where it's said that potholes aren't examples.
