The Unified Multiversal Moderation Agency, a security agency of sorts, has monitored the multiverse for hundreds of years. Ever since there was multiversal travel, there has been a need to monitor it. Every time a universe enters the multiverse, an agent is recruited from that universe. The nature of agents varies widely from universe to universe. Some are magical girls, some pilot powerful machines, and still others wield psychic powers. This is only a fraction of the variation between agents. Those who have broken into the multiverse on their own, without the rest of their home universe, may be recruited as well. Only if they are willing, however, and only if they will keep their nature as agents a secret from their home universe. At least, unless that universe discovers the multiverse as well.

The Unified Multiversal Moderation Agency is based out of Yggdrasil, an immense and ancient structure. Yggdrasil is a huge tower situated in the space between dimensions, holding the base of operations for the Agency, as well as the Multiversal Council, representatives that govern the agency itself. They respond to any dangerous situations: Threats to vessels undergoing multiversal travel, attempts to affect multiverse-unaware universes, and any other possible dangers.

As for the dangers themselves... Shadow Eternity. An organization opposed to the Agency, they have been reported to attack multiversal vessels and Agency. Little is known about Shadow Eternity's leadership, but they are extremely dangerous.

And then... there's everyone in between.

So... the basic idea for this RP is that it's a semi-freeform crossover RP(However, there will be some more structure this time around). Players can be Agents, work for Shadow Eternity... or be anyone between those two groups, or unnofficial allies, or... anything you can think of, really.

Players may also play as anything from canon characters, to AU versions of canon characters, to OCs.

While there's a plot, where that plot goes is very freeform. In addition, there's no specific ceiling for power levels(though truly absurd things, unbeatable things, or broken powers will be rejected). At the moment, this is just an interest check. If there's interest, I will post bios.

  • Name: Christina. Also known as 'Annoying [Insert Profanity Here]' Chrissy.
  • Age: 1669. She looks 16.
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance:
    • Despite being an angel, Crissy wears relatively little white. Aside from her tunic and overcoat, her skirt, stockings and gloves are all black, as are the trailing ribbons fastened to her halo. She has cerulean blue eyes, and her light blonde hair, reaching her ankles, is often tied into a large braid draped over her right shoulder. Or, rarely, twintails.
  • Canon, AU, or OC?: OC
  • Universe of Origin: Disgaea
  • Personality:
    • Self described as cheerful, friendly and upbeat. While two of those traits are evident, the second is a little harder to confirm - Christina has an extreme love for battle, and seeks to beat up all the most powerful characters. She is also brutally honest, and apparently unaware that she thinks all of her thoughts out loud. At least it was useful for level grinding back home.
  • Abilities/Weapons:
    • Blade of Judicial Retribution - Her weapon of choice, a crystalline broadsword. According to Chrissy, it holds a terrible, fantastic power capable of rending existence asunder. Truthfully, it used to be a powerful blade. But has long since lost its strength. Chrissy simply found it lying around one day.
    • Christina is also fairly strong, physically, but her best stat asset is her speed. And ability to annoy people.
    • Finally, there are her Sword Skills.
  • Backstory: An Angel from Celestia, notorious for her blood knight tendencies. After beating up everyone with a decent enough level, she was sent to the Netherworld to be kept out of the way. Somehow, she took a wrong turn - not that she seems to have noticed.
  • Faction: Unaffiliated.

  • Name: Makoto. Refers to herself as 'Akari', though.
  • Age: 901
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: "Officer Akari, reporting for duty!"
  • Canon, Alternative, or OC?: OC
  • Universe of Origin: Original
  • Personality:
    • Makoto is incredibly friendly and playful, loving to tease others, even though she's been trying to emotionally distance herself from the world. It hasn't worked too well, as she's just not the type to be dismissive of anything. Even when she seems melancholic, her true nature will invariably shine through. The only thing guaranteed to keep her down is a present reminder of her past.
  • Abilities/Weapons:
    • Illusions - While Makoto could once perfectly fool all senses with no effort, certain events have led to her losing much of her power. Now she has to concentrate very hard just to conceal the presence of someone. Sounds, scent and touch are not affected, and wavering concentration obviously weakens any illusions in place.
    • Fox fire. It's magical flames.
    • Transformation: She can change her body at will between a human's and a fox's.
    • Immense strength and endurance.
  • Backstory:
    • A nine-tailed fox who's lived through several hardships, the most recent and most devastating being the corruption of her best friend and fellow kitsune. They had a battle, ending with Makoto sealing her friend away, and sacrificing much of her power to keep her locked away, lest she return and bring ruin to the world.
A short while after the sealing, a wandering Makoto came across a being not of her world. From this being, she learned of the multiverse and the potential number of worlds. She saw this as a chance to help her sealed friend, hoping there was some way to restore her sanity and body, and gladly joined the Agency.

And reposting, ho!

  • Name: Mark Chen
  • Age: 27
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: Sorry, gonna have to steal his face for this.
  • Canon, Alternative, or OC?: Original Character
  • Universe of Origin: A hybrid universe consisting of Martin Mystery and the Resident Evil series. No universe number though.
  • Personality: Although he's nice, he can be quite the deadpan snarker depending on the situation. He's also willing to go the extra mile to give a hand to someone, whether it's family/friends/someone in danger while risking his life. Being a Bruneian citizen of Chinese origin, he is sensitive to matters that concern his fellow Overseas Chinese anywhere in the world if they are being mistreated or if they don't have the proper rights, depending on the country they're from, considering the situation of ethnic Chinese in Brunei. Being a newly recruited agent to the UMMA, he is a bit concerned that he may be one of the few who rely on technology like small arms and computers to do his work since he has heard of agents who have skills that surpass beyond the ordinary human.
  • Abilities/Weapons:
    • Mark can speak Bahasa Melayu, English, Mandarin with enough Cantonese (to get around) and some Hokkien. To be honest, he will not admit that he prefers English than the other four languages. He lacks a Malay accent when he speaks English (and most of the time, Cantonese) thanks to his time in America, which gave him a California accent. The Malay accent comes back a bit when he speak Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin and Hokkien.
    • Knowledgeable in paranormal/supernatural matters, thanks to his time with the Center. He can also use advanced technological devices like the Watches issued to him, after you tell him how to use it.
    • From his time in SHADOW and in the BSAA, he had been familiar with handling most small arms and close quarter combat.
    • Can conduct unarmed combat or with a handheld weapon.
    • Favors driving motorbikes over cars and SUVs, although he is familiar with driving the latter two.
    • A Remington ACR (16.5" barrel) for his main weapon and a Heckler & Koch P30 as a sidearm.
    • Depending on a mission, he could bring along a radio with an earpiece.
  • Backstory: Born in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei to a Bruneian Chinese family, he was an ordinary student studying in Chung Hwa Middle School when he was recruited by the Center, a worldwide anti-paranormal/supernatural agency. Following some successful investigations, Mark was recruited into a new division of the Center called SHADOW*, which consists of armed agents trained to investigate and resolve paranormal/supernatural incidents that have a criminal/terrorist element in it. When Mark was in his middle 20s (and having graduated from university in the United States with a Political Science Degree after leaving SHADOW), he was recruited to the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance as a Special Operations Agent. Thanks to recommendations from his superiors, Mark was selected to be recruited to the BSAA's Special Operations Unit. Barely a few days after his training, he was ordered to be assigned to the BSAA's Far East Division to be deployed to Lanshiang, China due to a bioterrorist attack perpetrated by members of Neo-Umbrella. Among the things he did was to conduct evacuation of foreign nationals out of Lanshiang's downtown core and provide backup to various SOU teams including the North American Division's Alpha Team. There, Mark placed his Mandarin/Cantonese/Hokkien skills to use, being one of the few SOU operators who liaised with the Lanshiang Police Force and People's Liberation Army forces assigned to the city during the siege. While he was promoted due to his actions in ending Neo-Umbrella's Chinese activities, Mark was chosen again to serve in the Unified Multiversal Moderation Agency thanks to an agreement worked out between the Center, BSAA and the UMMA.* The other reason was because of his familiarity with investigating and resolving extraordinary incidents that have a criminal/terrorist element. His field codename is Skyblade, which he used when he was SHADOW before it was carried over to the BSAA and to the UMMA.

Accepted.

  • Name: Dlanor A. Knox, also known as "Death Sentence Dlanor" or "Dlanor of the Ten Wedges"
  • Age: Was born in 1947. Stopped aging in 1957, exact age from there unknown. As such, she appears about 10.
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: "A check of this location has been FINISHED." Full body shot for reference
  • Canon, Alternative, or OC?: Canon
  • Universe of Origin: Umineko No Naku Koro Ni(Heaven)
  • Personality: Dlanor is extremely calm, focused, and collected. She is dedicated to her often violent duty of executing violators of Knox's Decalogue. She will not, however, pursue a violator unless the Court of Heaven orders her to. In addition, she will only use the Red Key against those who threaten her or hinder her mission. Violators are frequently the extremely powerful reality-warping magic users known as Witches. Dlanor strives to eliminate evil, and will seek to do so whenever possible. She believes magic is only bad when used as a tool for evil. This allows her to form friendships with Witches who do not use their magic to preform evil. She is stoic to the point of not showing pain even after being pierced by multiple spears while preforming her duty. She shows no mercy to those who she is executing. In spite of this serious and stoic personality, Dlanor has a sweet tooth and often reads certain kinds of comics, and has a dislike of being doted on. She even has some childish behaviors. During executions or fights, she often drops her serious and stoic air in exchange for an outright insane expression and crazed behavior.
  • Abilities/Weapons: Dlanor's natural abilities include a slow healing ability(it takes hours, but her wounds will heal perfectly), being insanely durable and hard to kill(don't destroy the brain and she'll probably be fine) and being so stoic she doesn't show pain. She wields the Red Key and the Blue Key, a pair of powerful conceptual weapons. The Red Key, a huge longsword, is her weapon of choice. It is capable of annihilating concepts that Dlanor is capable of denying. This allows her to literally destroy an argument, and by doing so damage an enemy. The Red Key can also be used as a regular, extremely deadly, sword. It cannot be blocked(unless the weapon doing so is magical) or slowed, and teleportation is ineffective against it, however it is possible to evade it unless you originate from the Umineko universe(in which case it's an unblockable undodgeable unslowable instrument of death). The Blue Key is a shortsword that forces self-denial in the target, and can be slowed or blocked, and dodged more freely. Dlanor may not use the Red Key unless it is against violators of Knox's Decalogue, or she is threatened or hindered.
  • Backstory: Dlanor A. Knox is an Inquisitor of Heaven. Involved with the events of the Witch's Game on Rokkenjima island, she has since been ordered to track down and kill violators of Knox's Decalogue outside of her home universe. She intends to follow these orders to the end. However, as part of an agreement between her universe's Heaven and the Agency, Dlanor has come to work for the Agency as well(assisted by Gertrude and Cornelia, her angelic assistants).
  • Faction: UMMA

Um, she's not going to be my only character, but re-reading the original thread, um, posts using her are just too fun to read and write, eh-heh. ^^;

When she reached the age of majority, she decided that she would join the Inquisition and headed offworld in search of the Inquisition.

A few bits of concrit:

  • While the Alpha Legion are the resident sneaky bastards of the Chaos Space Marines, they're not exactly big on subterfuge.
  • Planting an operative in the Inquisition, something stacked full of Psykers who can read minds, isn't going to end well.
  • You don't choose to join the Imperial Inquisition. An Inquisitor chooses you as an acolyte.

  • Name: Prince of Hell, Leviathan. More frequently goes by "Levi"
  • Age: She's somewhere in the thousands, now.
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: "At least no-one has an awesome hat like me..." "Hmph!"(colored version pending, colors are white hair, gold eyes, and pale skin for her body)
  • Canon, AU, or OC?: OC
  • Universe of Origin: Original Setting
  • Personality: Leviathan is an irritable girl. As the demonic representation of Envy, she frequently is extremely jealous of others, often directly complaints towards them or declaring her jealousy. One of the things she finds herself most jealous of is mature, adult bodies. While she doesn't resent her childish form, even agreeing with those who find her cute, she would enjoy having an adult body even if it was only for a little while. While she frequently experiences envy, this does not entirely define her. Leviathan is capable of being quite nice, even thought her kindness may be hidden behind a thin veil of annoyance and anger. Still, she is more likely to be nice then antagonistic... even if her niceness is punctuated with complaints. She is easily frustrated and embarrassed, as well. She likes swimming and surfing.
  • Abilities/Weapons: Leviathan is one of the Seven Princes of Hell, the seven strongest demons in her world. She is quite capable of taking on a dragon(in her universe, dragons are immensely powerful beings with backup from reality itself) by herself. However, she is the least durable of the Princes, easily injured and taking a longer time to heal injuries. As a demon, Leviathan's healing process works by reverting her back to the state she was in when she first became a demon. While this does not effect all changes to her body(for example, eating more or less), it affects aging and physical injuries. Leviathan's reversion is slower than her fellow Princes', though it becomes more quick the more dangerous the injury is. Like all demons, she is potentially capable of surviving such grievous injuries as decapitation. Leviathan is also far stronger and faster than she appears. She is also capable of generating whirlpools using water or the moisture in the air, which suck targets in. Finally, Leviathan wields a Alchemical Tool, a device created via alchemy that taps into either ambient or internal mana. As Leviathan has no internal mana, her abilities instead stemming from her demonhood, her Alchemical Tool instead operates using ambient mana. It is a large, grey shield, three times as tall and twice as wide as Leviathan herself. The sides are bladed, and a spike extends from the tip. Beneath this tip is a cannon, which is capable of gathering ambient mana and using it to generate a blast of water capable of cleaving through steel.
  • Backstory: Like all of the original demons in her universe, Leviathan was a human being effected by the fall of the Archangel Lucifer, which caused a fundamental change in her nature and made her into a demon. Spending thousands of years like this, Leviathan has accumulated wealth and acquired a large amount of maids. She has entered the multiverse as a vacation, accompanied by three of her maids.

The character I had could invoke tropes/cliches. It could pull a sword from hammerspace, using the stepping stone sword trope to climb up buildings, use offscreen teleport to get around, and invoke the hollywood car exploding cliche to effect.

Um... those would all be powers and skills in most things, including this RP, though, except maybe the explosion(which is... just how explosions work in that setting I suppose). Maybe they're considered tropes, but in-universe they're just... things people can do.

  • Name: Mr. Cliche

  • Age: In his Twenties

  • Gender: N/A

  • Physical Appearance: Here

  • Canon, AU, or OC?: OC

  • Universe of Origin: A Cliche Comic

  • Personality: Crazy, looking for fame, cowardly, genre savvy and sometimes blind, egotistical.

  • Powers:
breaking the fourth wall but does this on rare occasions

hears voices of people in head, doesn't help him, but will drive mind readers insane or hurt them when they try to read his mind

Invoke positive tropes, but only ones that are related to attacking or defending, or as utility.

Can heal from serious injuries if he can get away from the serious situation and lay low

  • Other Skills:
good with a sword

  • Background/Origin: There are other worlds as everyone knows, and in one of these various worlds a god was cursed by the other gods to be bound by human thoughts. Its mind was warped to the ideas of humans and its powers gradually became more limited as humans began to forget about it. It began to transform into other individuals to fit the ideas and eventually grew tired enough that it caused the memories to cease tranfering from one to another. In the 1960s it became Mr. Cliche an individual who knew only that it came from another individual who died. During his time he swapped from being an anti hero and being a crime boss. Eventually even Mr. Cliche sucumbed and died at the end of the era. In the 2000s research was done on a new form of energy that was found emitting from an individual. Experiments were done and an accident occured causing most of the incarnations to exist at the same time. The accident also lead to the curse to work in reverse and affect the people that influenced. Sometime after the accident Mr. Cliche fell into a rift in the temporal fabric of reality leading to him finding himself here.

  • Miscellaneous Notes: Mr. cliche has no memory of being a god. The voices are from the people that are manipulating his form. He is very weak against advertisements. Since this isn't about him he would not have plot armor. His powers don't mentally affect players, but give a legitimate reason as to why the laws of physics work the way they do in super hero worlds. If you were to remove his mask you would find that instead of a face you would find a strange blue and green glowing dust in the crude shape of a face lacking any defined details.

Um... no.

There's not any reason things work differently in other dimensions, it's just how they are in that world. There's no-one "enforcing cliches or tropes", it's just how things are. Also, breaking the fourth wall at all unless it's a result of a character being crazy and thinking things are a story when they aren't in-universe is absolutely not allowed. It destroys any weight anything may have if there's a character who knows it's just an RP and will say so.

There's absolutely no way I'll accept him.
