This is less comparable to, say, Friendship is Magic and more based off the immense popularity of the Monster High webtoons.
Nearly every bloody doll line these days, from Novi Stars to Pinkie Cooper to Bratzillaz to Mattel's own Barbie (Although I adore Life in the Dreamhouse) does this nowdoays. Not suprised MGA would ride the "doll line with webtoons" wave MH started
I'm having to learn to pay the priceThe difference here is Lalaoopsy can be seen on TV through Nick.Jr.

Can't unthink it now!
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justice, The first thing I thought when I saw a commercial was "Dammit, the Beldam got another one!".
"If you're out here why do I miss you so much?"My little sister got one of those dolls at a party. There's a little door in her closet.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great[removed]

TL;DR. You like it. Done!
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceWhat version of MLP are you talking about, anyway? Sounds nothing like Friendship Is Magic - or anything G4 related for that matter!

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Hopefully not G2.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceIf it's G1 - then damn straight is all I can say in that regard. Say whatever you will about G1 (too girly for me and not my cup of tea, overall...) - G1 was action packed and had dramatic moments like that - when said generation WASN'T being all girly, trite, ans saccharine at worst! Something I feel Friendship Is Magic royally lacks - unless it's fan works and fan-fiction in general done by the fanbase (the GOOD stuff, of course!).

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.It lacks because it still is primarily a kid's show to promote toys to rake in money for Hasbro. Too much action or romance, then they promote them to the brony fandom. It's just a balance that works. Still, let's stick to the main topic. Mainly "Lalaloopsy"!
Mabey this should help keep this interesting.

OK:
1.WTF do you have against the art style? It's so goofy and trippy-looking, it's fun to look at.
2.There was no romance in the first few episodes. We would have still been talking about it.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceGotta second this (even though I'm NOT a major fan of Friendship Is Magic, nor was I to begin with...).
Back on topic, however - maybe, just maybe I should check this out. Too bad it doesn't look like something that would engage me easily, sadly enough.

Watched the first movie. It was quite adorable, though I'm scratching my head at certain things (like, are the mini-dolls the young sisters of the larger dolls?).
I noticed that the characters use lower speech patterns than, say, in MLP. Is it targetted to an younger audience than FIM?
Movie? also, yes and no. It's suppose to be, like MLP, enjoyed by young kids and their family. Bea uses massive words most kids under 12 would have fly by their heads. It's probably better for 8-yr-old girls.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceIt just seemed that the speech patterns seemed a tad stretched out, unlike other shows targetted at an 8-12 year old demographic.
I'm still not sure what you mean, since FIM has the same length of speech pattern, only more fast-paced. Still, if "Loopsy" wants to do any better at gaining a bigger fanbase, they need to at least have one major running conflict like The ponies and Discord. It just seems to be all soft noise and boring plots here and again IMHO.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceWhich would not be bad for very young children, but still.
Most of FIM also deals with fairly mundane plots, only recalling a storyline in the season openers and finales. Granted, FIM's mundane plots are much more fun and feel apropriate for people of all ages.
Lalaloopsy's movie at least had some form of pressure (namely, a storm with fatal consequences in one scene), but it wasn't realised, which is a shame.
WHAT IS THIS DAMN MOVIE?!

That's right! THIS! Figured if MLP:Fi M can have it's threat and not be bashed, why the Hell not this? Here's a webisode to get you started. It's like said other girls show, only less engaging, and with rag dolls. So, how 'bout it?
