[up][up]Oh, I apologize for the unfounded accusation then.

[up]Don't speak to soon. Maybe the "strong sensuality" in Bv S' rating is full on "strong sexual content" in the R-version. [lol]

[up]No we know why it was rated R for "sequences of violence."

They also mentioned that it wouldn't be because of blood just violence.

Yeah, I know. Really hoping that Batman's punches to Supes makes him spit blood. Would really answer the "Do you bleed" question that all the marketing was built around.

[up][up]Consider sydner did sucker punch......

"Is a second 10 hint at he drinks and fucks doing anything towards his overarching life arc? How does it affect him going after Superman? What plot points does it push?"

easy, it show he is bad place in is life, it dosent need a super explanation to just make clear to yout for some odd reason.

"the fault of the film as a whole starting with a Batman who's already at his lowest rather than seeing him fall."

is that a bad thing, for me showing clue for his state of mind is better because it give you and idea of why it happen

Batman should've brought a bottle of booze with him to the fight, throw it at Kal and then say "Let's see you smash my truck!"

Did Superman ever use heat vision against Batman? Probably not, since it's potentially lethal. Why did the trailer make it look like Superman was the one firing lasers at Batman?

So you'd think he was trying to kill Batman.

Why make us think that Clark would use lethal force on a "defenseless"(nasty surprise offense!) human?

Not as bad as the comic con trailer showing Superman descending out of the batsignal with his eyes glowing red. In the movie itself he was not looking to fight.

He used it to take out Bruce's initial attacks. Otherwise, him lighting up his eyes would more be an intimidation tactic.

So, Clark only uses heat vision on a human when using it as a first aid measure to stop severe bleeding? Can he control the intensity of it? It would also be good for lighting campfires, heating up food, and anything else that would require a lighter.

Depending on the source, he even uses it for shaving.

[up][up]The fact that Lois is still alive is proof enough that he can manipulate his heat vision's intensity. To a smaller degree how he tried to push Doomsday's laser back with his own.

In Final Crisis Superman uses his heat vision to give Lois infra-red massage to keep her weakened heart beating so it's safe to say he can occasionally have a great deal of control over the intensity of it.

[up]On the other hand, Superman vs the elite and injustice super use his heat vision to give someone a lobotomy.

so, it depend of the writer.

I thought Superman only gave him the equivalent of a psychic concussion? Or was that only in the comic it was based on?

[up][up] How would his giving someone a heat-vision lobotomy indicate that he didn't have fine control of his heat vision?

[up] Yeah, Superman even says at the end of the story that all he did was give Manchester Black the equivalent of a light concussion (a heat beam directed through the lenses of Black's own eyes). I've read other stories where he used his heat vision to gently warm someone up who'd been trapped in the snow. He's pretty consistently been shown to have a wide range of very fine control over it.

[up][up][up][up][up]Dope was very funny.

Jeremy Irons thinks BVS deserved those reviews. He does say "the next one" (presumably Justice League?) is much simpler and more coherent, though.

You know you don't have to post the link in two different threads.

Lol, Irons previously said he loved the script and that it was written from the heart, but the edits concern him before the film was out.

So he probably means the theatrical cut, unless he's changed his opinion on the film in all forms.
