So should we move the quote from the main page as well?

Just popping in to say that the Annoying Video Game Helper sandbox should have its examples divided into type of video game as typical of video game tropes.

And speaking of sandboxes, is there anything more Sandbox.Unwanted Assistance (the non-YMMV one) needs to get made a Main/ page?

The description is kinda sparse, yes, but it seems to cover the basic idea.

I think Annoying Video Game Helper should be split into two types: Type 1 is when the characters are merely annoying through their dialogue (Like Navi from Ocarina Of Time) and Type 2 is when they actually impact the gameplay (Like the princess throwing you a mushroom that replaces your superior reserve item in Super Mario World).

Splitting those off into separate tropes was listed in the first crowner and was voted down.

Oh man I missed the crowner, I was going to suggest something like Annoying Helper NPC or Annoying Helper Fairy. Having "Video Game" in the title like that always sounds so clunky and awkward.

What should we do about the examples in the New Media section, since they're subjective? Where should they go?

I've placed some games into their folders, but there's a lot of entries here so I need the help of someone more familiar with genres than I am.

Is there anything keeping Sandbox.Unwanted Assistance from going live (besides someone wanting to do the work, anyway )?

I'll just launch the Unwanted Assistance page, unless anyone has anything to add first.

The core concept is there, so it's not like people can't figure out the trope. Filling it out a little would be nice but not absolutely necessary, IMO.

I fleshed out Unwanted Assistance a bit. Feel free to improve it.

Looking at the examples, they could use some cleanup, particularly Example Indentation, fixing Zero Context Examples, and Natter removal. I unfortunately don't have the time for it at the moment, and won't until later tomorrow probably.

Why don't we call it "Unhelpful Video Game Helper" or something along those lines?

So, Unwanted Assistance and Annoying Video Game Helper. I'll ask whether the examples have been sorted, and if so, I'll launch these pages and disambiguate Stop Helping Me.

Didn't get everything, I think, but I did a major cleanup on Unwanted Assistance, fixing Example Indentation, providing some context for Zero Context Examples, Natter cleaning, namespacing, and removing generic RL entries.

There's still some Weblinks Are Not Examples issues to fix (webcomics section in particular) and maybe some other things I missed, but I'm out of time for now.

It doesn't seem like it from the history, but is anyone looking at cleaning up Sandbox.Annoying Video Game Helper? I noticed a lot of additions and some folderizing, but not much done about what looks at first glance to be a bunch of natter, Example Indentation problems, and Justifying Edits. I'm not really much of a gamer, so I'm not sure what's actually legitimate and what's bad troping.

Creating such a trope would be YKTTW work.

Well, there is a section in the sandbox for non-videogame examples already. I was suggesting an alternate title to redirect to the Main/ page, not a trope. Are you saying that the sandbox needs go to to YKTTW?
