She's guardian of Japan. Don't fuck with Japan or she'll sort you out.
I'm hoping the film series reinterprets her as simply being protective of her territory.
Oh, so the Destroy All Monsters style sequel is happening. Cool.
I hope that means they'll actually focus on the monsters this time around.
http://www.longcriercat.deviantart.com I'm thirsty. Got any ink? Resident Pen Ward antagonist.I would like to see Mothra retaining her mythical aspects as a Eldritch Abomination of sorts in this franchise. Would be interesting to see the more sci-fi connnected Godzilla clashing with this more outwordly creature.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I thought she was guardian of Child Island and defender of creepy adorable fairy twins or something.
The shisa was the guardian of Japan, I thought.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSo they're doing this, huh?
I really don't know how they'll handle Ghidora, since he's rather inherently ridiculous looking.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseIt's a three-headed dragon. It shouldn't be any more difficult than any of the kaiju from Pacific Rim, or the MUT Os.
Plus with today's CGI technology (and with a bigger budget, which they'll most likely give them after the success of the first movie) they can most likely make him look completely epic.
For twelve seconds, before they pan the camera down midfight to focus on the American Heroman chucklefuck brigade.
My various fanfics.Okay, we get it.
You hate the movie.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseSorry, sorry. Just...let some Mo S-arguing frustration bleed over here. Not cool, I know. >.>
My various fanfics.Huh, you know that makes me wonder if we'll get Ford back as a protagonist.
I really hope that Godzilla is the protagonist of the next movie and Ford is a supporting character.
You're not wrong, for the most part, Sharky.
The movie did focus too much on Ford and not enough on the fighting.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseI'd say keep the human perspective or risk loosing the subtext of the film of Godzilla being an inhuman force of nature.
In other news the same production company has announced they are making a film about Skull Island (The King Kong's Island) possibly I suspect a cross over may be in their minds somewhere.
Honestly, that's all I want to hear.
My various fanfics.I still want Guillermo Del Toro to announce a crossover between Godzilla and Pacific Rim XD
Well there goes my hype. At least they'll all be in future movies.
I'm actually rather glad they're not all going to be in the next movie, because it would be rather crowded, then.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseYep.
Though Godzilla vs King Ghidorah would be awesome, still :D
Well, I think that King Ghidora is the least realistic of all of Godzilla's foes.
He's cool and all, but having a monster with three heads would just feel out of place in this more realistic rebooted series.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseEven less realistic than Space Godzilla?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSee, I want Mothra and Ghidora in any future movies because it would remove the "grounded in reality" crap.
Okay, maybe him.
Yes, because more believable stuff = stupid.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseYeah, I'm really interested in seeing how they'll tackle Mothra. I'm also interested in seeing who's up next; I could see Mothra being introduced in 2 if it's Godzilla vs Original Monster again. But, I could also see Godzilla vs Rodan.
I babble on about Disney and old film.I kind of thought this movie was going to be Godzilla vs Rodan at first.
I want to see Mothra too. I wonder how she'll be handled.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone else
Yes.
