Godzilla (2014)

Hey, can someone please put all of the previous page images for the film's page in an Image Links page? They were all good posters, and it's a little wonky that we can't look at them all.

I know people say the Mutos look just like Clover, but to me it looks more like the Alien + Clover.

Muto Research has been updating with files on the different characters: Doctor Serizawa's first name this time is Ichiro rather then Daisuke, which makes me think of another Godzilla movie...

Blecch. Retconning AND unwanted references to Godzilla's Greatest Hits.

If they're incorporating elements of 54 into the film, it makes sense that this Serizawa wouldn't be the original one, but a relative. Like how Godzilla vs Destroyah was about the Yamane family.

Once again you're missing the point of a full reboot. Of course it's a retcon, because it wouldn't be a rebbot without them.

And I wonder, do you even see anything of any good in this at all. or even see any of Gareth Edwards interviews at all? Because if you don't like it, why bother acting like a negative nancy all the damn time about it?

And yes, they did use a double base with thew glove and stuff for godzilla's roar, but they used updated sound equipment for it.

Got a problem with that?

People are speculating that when the director said Godzilla would be fighting "two other monsters", he simply meant Godzilla would fight two different types of Mutos. I think that'd be pretty damn lame though. :/ I think it'd be a shame to not use that giant dinosaur-centipede thing.

....I am tempted to break my 3d Rule and go see this film in Imax 3d.

I am outright planning on seeing this in IMAX 3D.

Oh, apparently there's a short shot of the Muto in the new trailer. Looks like a different Muto variant than we've seen from the toys.

Yeah, it only shows up for an instant, so it's easy to confuse it for Godzilla, who shows up right after.

Didn't catch myself, saw it pointed out on a news site.

@Garcon: Well that, and I'm pretty sure Godzilla wouldn't crawl on all fours. XD I think this thing has 8 or so legs too, though you can't really tell since the lower half isn't visible.

Also, why does every single teaser/trailer/commercial ends with that drawn out roar? Is it just that awesome? Is it growing old for some folks?

Still awesome to me. Can't wait for more TV spots until May. By then they should stop and just let us squirm in hype and expectation.

Huh? Where are you living in? The release dates site gives only May 15th and 16th as the release dates for anywhere.
