But without Jaegers. Just Spider-Mans with swords.
My various fanfics. It's got Jaegers (the adopted one counts as well), and they're also the key to saving humanity.

It would be Pacific Rim if Mogura and Kiryu got involved.
Hmm, what if they show Godzilla wiping out the US military and when nearly all hope is lost, carry alls show up with Gipsy MK II and other Jaegers, setting up Pacific Rim VS Godzilla?
I wonder if this will be a cautionary tale like the original 1954 film. Even if it does take more of a back seat to the action this time around (since other kaiju are confirmed), I at least hope they can preserve the heart of what made the original so memorable.

@Sharknado: If Eren turns into Godzilla, there's really nothing the heroes have to worry about, even when there's tonnes of Kaiju outside the walls. Just having Godzilla Eren on your side is enough.
EDIT: Sorry about that. Everyone and their mother knows it like common knowledge, so it flew right over my head.

Working on a manga. With pictures! All feedback welcome! You know, we put things in spoiler tags for A REASON.
My various fanfics.Oh shit! Eren is Godzilla!? I never saw that coming.
-jokes-
Godzilla would be a boon for the Titanverse, because the humans are not tech-advanced enough to be pollution mongers and thus piss him off, and they can't hurt him, so he would likely ignore them. OTOH, those pesky giant naked people that keep trying to eat him...
Godzilla: Look, Colossal Titan. We gotta talk. You are just...friggin' adorable. Seriously, you come up to, what, my knee? I can't...I can't take you or your dumb Abnormal Titan friends seriously.
My various fanfics.@nervmeister
The official synopsis mentions that the other monsters are born out of "humanity's scientific arrogance", so I'm thinking it will be a cautionary tale, yeah.
The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.Scientific arrogance? Joy...
"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des UrsinsWell, they estimate that we will have created an AI that's smarter than humans by 2050.

"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des UrsinsNo. Abuse and/or careless treatment of science is bad.

Movies have taught me that would be a bad idea.
Huh. In the shot of the squished train car, there's bodies lying all over right next to it, and none of them are squished. There's no footprint either.
Given the absence of train tracks in that scene, let's just say the train took an "unexpected detour".

Ah, good point. I didn't catch that.
So, how has the trailer been received in The Hobbit movie screenings it was first attached to?
Watch SymphogearDon't know about theaters, but another website I frequent has a bunch of comments from people griping about them "using the crappy US godzilla again" and such. I'm...kind of speechless, actually.
In some corners of the Internet I've seen people go "Why are they making ANOTHER Godzilla movie?"...despite the fact its been 10 years since the last one, even longer since the American one. I've noticed a lot of folks actually don't seem to know Toho went and made a few more after Godzilla 98.
Pop-culture is strange.
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you! It's nice to have a new Godzilla movie accurate to original. I loved watching those old movies on TV as a kid.
Yeah, people comparing it to the Roland Emmerich film must not remember the differences between the two designs.
Watch Symphogear
So, it's Pacific Rim.
