Okay NOW can we please go to the beach?? Finally? Because if you don't go to London this season, the beach would AT LEAST be something to enjoy.

I don't blame her. Yoko is really cool and badass. But I also get annoyed at people who mess up your schedule by procrastinating.

It would've been nice if they spoke Engrish in Honoka's imagine spot.

Anyone else notice they've been playing different versions of the first line of the OP, sung by different characters? The version in this episode had different lyrics too, I think.

I noticed this since they started doing that.

Since it's about the first you see from the OP, even I've noticed it, even if I don't usually watch OPs. I don't watch this one enough to recognise the lyrics, though.

Technically most of the song is the same barring the character lines at the beginning.

Ayaya again stole the show, with probably the most numbers of blushes for the series ever... and what's more, Yoko's two kid siblings are on to her, heh. Much more on the ball than their sister, these two.

Special mention of course to Honoka. Princesses huh? Though I really question how healthy it is to think of one's self as a servant. Kudos for the maid bunny though. Gochuumon wa Honoka desu ka?

They've been on to her since their debut.

The 9th Hello:

• The Princess of Tennis, Golden Edition.
• Last-minute summer homework will now falter thanks to Aya's cunning. Her initial attempt at conveying this to Yoko...not so cunning.
• Yoko can rock dresses. Just depends on the style. Gotta agree with her own evaluation wearing Aya's dress.
• Koutsuki have such great timing.
• The Princess of Tennis, Blooming Honoka Edition.
• She can maintain her balance on balls? Nice.
• Isami likes her ice cream to be juuust right.
• Good idea, Karen. But Alice wasn't the only one who was gonna play dress up. And Honoka? The world of GochiUsa would really welcome you with open arms.
• Heh, looks like Karen's hypnosis thanking the sun really gave Honoka a boost.
• To the beach! And then a sudden downpour happens.

Episode 10. In which they go to the beach.

Her getting stuck with that around her is kind of inevitable. She does stick with it quite far, though.

Yeah, like Shino would stop them.

Yoko's sure one to talk.

Meanwhile, Ayaya is tsunning around.

Ayaya doesn't want to be left alone.

Someone's well-prepared.

That's a fight she can't win.

Some of them have some odd views about sunscreen. It prevents tanning entirely?

How common is not being able to swim for Brits? Where I live it's included in basic education. Or at least it used to be; might have changed. In anime, about two or three characters per series can't swim.

The beach is a horrible place.

"Shino's at it again." That's about what needs to be said about it. Just about.

"Too much." Completely accurate there, Ayaya.

Sometimes, Ayaya, you should think about what you're agreeing to. Following Yoko's lead before you know where said lead leads leads to bad situations. Sometimes. Usually.

A mix of English and Japanese. Can't think of anything that would suit her better. And there's something about her clothes that...

Eating and drinking: the most difficult obstacles of the day.

For a beach episode, it was remarkably low-key. And what's more, barring that one segment with Karen and Yoko, the show didn't really call attention to the assets of the girls while in their swimsuits. It was quite literally a relaxing day at the beach.

I can't help but think it was a missed opportunity for them to NOT run into Kusshi and Karasuma while at the beach, but I guess it's just as well. :)

Also LOL Ayaya. Never gets old, and she even said a classic tsundere line on the train!

What is it with anime characters not being able to swim? I'm afraid of the water and I can swim.

They totally stole that "lost child" joke from Non Non Biyori.

Dang Aya is never gonna marry Yoko at this rate.

I thought they were beach house? And that food would be at beach house? Was no beach house?

It's kind of what I expected from this series. It's just that type of show.

I thought about that too, but it's always such a contrived coincidence that two groups of people happen to go to the beach at the same day. But if they don't actually meet, it's more about being able to show them all at the beach in one thematic episode, while maintaining the pretense that they could just as well have been there on different days, so the coincidence doesn't matter.

Isn't it kind of a cliché joke in the first place?

Beach Episode

Yoko has "nice body-desu". Mm-hmm. Nice boob animation too. I was almost certain she would have a wardrobe malfunction.

And we turn it into a conversation on what "gaudy" means. A ton of talk is random in real life. And it shows how strong the chemistry between the girls are.

Wouldn't it be funny if they run into Ika Musume serving the food?

What's wrong with katsu curry?? They're delicious!

Are some of these locations real?

I don't know what you guys are saying. It may have been routine, but it was full of entertainment and excitement.

It was good. Would have been even better as an overnight trip, but good.

So did we see the teachers in swimsuits? I'm behind because the sub group I watch has only done up to episode six.

We did. They both wore bikinis.

Kuzehashi-seni is best sensei just like Karen is best girl.

@Ruise: They did eat lunch at the beach house.

@kyun: I think the idea was that the curry was served in portions too huge for Aya.

When they said beach house, I thought they were talking about a house on the beach, not a boardwalk restaurant.

They really drove home the Yoko can eat anything and not gain weight while Aya can't, 3 jokes about it in one episode.

Anyone catch the spawning Alice animation error at ~10:40? How did that get past QC... Lol.

• To the beach, with a special opening to accompany them.
• Now, Aya, you should know by now that Shino's too far up in heaven to stop those two.
• Yoko and Karen truly are alike.
• Kuzehashi-sensei and Karasuma-sensei are here, as well. And, to Kuzehashi-sensei, preparedness is key.
• Following Yoko's lead is something Aya can't get a handle on. Yet. Maybe.
• Golden sunset.
• Aya didn't want to lean on Yoko. But that's just her mind talking. Her body speaks a different language.
• Oh, a hot springs was there too.

Quite relaxing. As expected of a trip to the beach.

Oh my gosh!

Honoka keeps missing all these chances...other than Shino and Alice these characters suck at romance.

Less than a day after losing Alice and Karen and Shino is already delirious from lack of blondxygen. Get the blonde tank! Also Aya is a witch.

How can they sleep that close together?

Will we actually get to see at least Alice and Karen in England next episode? WILL WE???
