Just learned that the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular will not be airing nationally this year. Apparently, the best fireworks concert on television was falling in ratings, so CBS will be fielding lukewarm reruns instead? Good luck winning the night with that.

I think the idea is that we're stuck with the curse of responsibility for our actions. We have to govern ourselves and face the consequences of making mistakes.
