Interest Check: New World of Darkness RP

So, since my Vampire The Masquerade RP's didn't pan out too well due to scheduling issues, I have decided to take advantage of my new free time to do something different.

I want to do an RP based off of New World Of Darkness, specifically Vampire The Requiem, Changeling The Lost, Hunter The Vigil, and Mage The Awakening. Of course, bog-standard mortals are playable as well.

Geist The Sin Eaters and Promethean The Created are recognized as well, but I'm not sure if I should allow Sin-Eaters and Prometheans as fully playable PC's, seeing as I know very little of them. I own the corebooks for Vampire, Changeling, Hunter, and Mortals, and have passing familiarity with Mage, so I can accept them.

As for Werewolves, I never was a fan of Werewolf The Forsaken (I much prefer Werewolf The Apocalypse) so I'm unsure if I should have Uratha at all. There will definitely be Werewolves, but I'm not sure if they should be Uratha or a NWOD version of Garou.

The setting will be a modern American city and the focus is primarily Vampire The Requiem and Changeling The Lost, with Hunters/Mortals and Mages definitely appearing as playable options. As for Werewolves, Prometheans, and Sin-Eaters, I am considering them but am unsure.

Mummy and Demon are currently out as I have no familiarity with them at all and Demon isn't even out yet.

NOTE: In my games, The Strix and the vampiric cult known as VII do not exist. At all.

That being said, who is interested in New World Of Darkness?

I decided upon this new ruling. The following game-lines will be in play. The rest will be NPC's.

• Mortals (and by extension, Hunter The Vigil)
• Vampire The Requiem
• Werewolf The Forsaken
• Mage The Awakening
• Promethean The Created
• Changeling The Lost

Sin-Eaters, Mummies, and Demons will be NPC-only. As for character creation, we will use standard character creation from the corebooks. Everyone gets 25 XP to spend so they can enhance their characters without being overpowered.

Still working on a setting though.

Which Clan and Covenant?

I am definitely playing a Mekhet, probably either Circle of the Crone (my favorite Covenant) or Lancea Sanctum.

I'm going with Daeva and The Invictus/The Circle of the Crone as my clan and covenant.

Do you mind if my character is female?

Still thinking of a city. Not sure if I should use a real city, or the three cities from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. I'm leaning more towards a real city but still unsure.

I think a fictional city might make things a little easier, since we wouldn't end up potentially accidently making a mess of geography that way.

Also, considering either a Frankenstein or a Galatean*

right now. Not sure about any other details at the moment, though. Hmmm.

Should I use a city from Grand Theft Auto or make my own?

The traditional route would be The Invictus, but shaking things up sounds fun. Also, I plan giving my vampire the nickname "The Witch of Endor". Whether it's a legacy name or the original, I still have to determine.

I'd say go for the legacy name, the original Witch of Endor would be thousands of years old, while I'm putting the cap for Embraces at 1950 AD to prevent overtly old and powerful character.

Unless she's been in torpor until very recently and forgotten her status as the Witch of Endor due to the Fog of Ages

However, I can definitely accept it as a nickname, but would be unsure of her being the original Witch of Endor

Also, you don't have Generation in Requiem. I'd suggest getting a PDF of the New World of Darkness corebook and the corebook for Vampire The Requiem

I'm interested. Either Vampire, Changeling, or Hunter-I'll probably try to figure out what is needed, and roll one, though I've got backstories for all three.

• Bio: Natalya was born to a high-ranking mafioso and his wife in Brooklyn on July 24, 1978. Her early childhood was spent around associates of her father and she grew to admire them and decided that she would become a mafioso when she grew up. She kept this goal in her mind as she entered adolescence. Her high school career was a whirlwind of social events and high grades, and she graduated as salutatorian of her class. Immediately after she graduated. she wanted to join her father's organization, but her father refused, wanting her to lead a normal life. She didn't agree with her father, but she acceded to him and went off to Stanford that fall and took Law as her major.

Her life at Stanford heavily revolved around partying and she managed to earn decent grades, despite the fact that she partied until the wee hours of the morning. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Law and headed back to New York City to ostensibly look for an internship. Instead of looking for an internship, she petitioned her father to join the family business. Her father initially refused, but she wore him down with repeated petitions to join the mafia and he finally acceded after several weeks.

She started as a low-level hitter, and steadily rose through the ranks over a period of seven to eight years, eventually becoming one of her father's personal bodyguards. By this time she'd earned the nickname 'The Crimson Wolf', due to her tendency to paint a wolf on her victims' chests, using their blood as her medium. Her actions garnered the interest of a high-ranking Daeva mafioso in one of the families that opposed her own, and she gave Natalya an invitation to a celebratory gala via proxy.

She accepted the invitation without the knowledge of her father, though with no small amount of trepidation, seeing as how the invitation came from a member of a rival family. When she arrived at the gala, she came wearing a ankle-length Christian Dior dress with a wrap, Louboutin pumps, a ruby necklace and gold bracelets, and wearing a small amount of White Musk perfume, she was ushered inside after showing her invitation. Once inside, she introduced herself to the various guests that had been invited to the gala, from movie directors to politicians.

After several hours of hobnobbing with the various guests that had been invited to the gala, she was escorted upstairs to meet with the hostess of the party, who hadn't bothered to come downstairs since the beginning of the party. Her escorts brought her to a lavishly decorated door and told her that the hostess was inside, before taking up positions on opposite sides of the door. The presence of the imposing guards made her slightly nervous, but she clamped down on her nervousness and entered the room.

Once inside the room, she spotted the hostess of the party reclining on a chaise lounge, sipping a scarlet-colored drink from a crystal goblet. When the hostess spotted Natalya, she swung her legs over the side of the chaise and sauntered over to Natalya, setting her drink down on a table made of polished balsa wood. When the hostess reached Natalya, she introduced herself as Vittoria Donati, a high-ranking member of the Vescovi Family, before stretching out her hand to Natalya and inviting her to sit on the chaise lounge next to her.

Natalya, having been raised as a Catholic girl, refused to indulge Vittoria, and was forcibly dragged over to the chaise and made to sit down next to Vittoria, who started giving her small kisses along the hollow of her throat. When Natalya tried to pull away, Vittoria increased the pressure of her left hand on Natalya's shoulder, before drawing her mouth back, letting her fangs drop and sinking her teeth into Natalya's throat. Natalya tried to scream, but that idea was nixed when Vittoria placed her right hand over Natalya's mouth as she drained Natalya dry. After she finished draining Natalya dry, Vittoria drew a sharp nail over a wrist vein and let a few drops of blood drip into the open mouth of Natalya's corpse. Natalya returned to consciousness with a gasp, rolling off the chaise and onto the floor. She lay there for several minutes, regaining her strength before managing to clamber to her feet and looked at her sire, who still had her fangs out, with an expression akin to horror. She staggered back into the wall and raised a trembling hand to her mouth, feeling the sharp prick of a fang where her left canine was. Vittoria just smiled indulgently at her, feeling a sort of pride in managing to corrupt the daughter of one of her family's chief enemies.

Upon seeing the indulgent smile on Vittoria's face and realizing that she could never have a family, Natalya charged Vittoria, shrieking in rage and pain. Vittoria just sidestepped her with that damnable smile, which just increased her anger, and she charged Vittoria again. Vittoria just laughed at her, sidestepping Natalya's charge again. But as she passed, Natalya grabbed Vittoria's left arm, spinning Vittoria around to face her before placing her hands on either side of Vittoria's head and ripping Vittoria's head off, letting out a scream of unholy rage and pain as she did so.

Shortly after, the guards burst into the room after hearing the scream and saw Natalya and her dress soaked in blood and holding Vittoria's head by the hair. They yell at her to drop the head and bring their pistols up to her head level. They yell at her a few more times before one of their yells manages to penetrate Natalya's haze. She slowly turns toward them, revealing her empty eyes and tear-streaked face and releasing her grip on the head, which drops to the floor and bounces once, rolling across the floor and coming to a stop against the far wall. She then proclaims that she's taking over Vittoria Donati's place in the Vescovi Family, which surprises the guards before they lower their guns and kneel in front of her, proclaiming their loyalty to their new mistress forever...

Hello. Has this RP started yet, or is it still in process? I have some interest in joining, since I've started reading about the new World of Darkness since Christmas last year. However, I'm still confused over the character creation system. As for races, I guess I can only play as Vampires(which I don't mind. I like the Vampires in this setting), since I've read their book, and haven't finished Werewolf: The Forsaken yet. I don't any of the other books yet though.
