Slasher(s) with AA weaponry

Way back in the Slashers vs US Army thread, the troper Gaon said that there were very few slashers who could fly and/or possess anti-aircraft weaponry. However, neither he (nor anyone else) said there were no slashers with AA weaponry. So, if there are any, what slasher(s) have anti-aircraft weaponry?

This is not in relation to the SVUA thread or the Slashers vs Police thread, this is just for reference for something else not related to this site.

The Chopping Mall robot. And that's it unless you want to say Predator and the Terminator were slashers.

I'm pretty sure the comment was meant as tongue-in-cheek at least slightly, anyway...

No, no, they are not slashers. And I have actually seen Chopping Mall, but I don't remember any potential AA weapons being used by the Killbots.

Anyone care to elaborate on the Killbot's weapons? I know they have laser beams, taser wires, and claws. Anyone remember anything relating to anti-aircraft weapons for the Killbots, and perhaps other, much more obscure slashers?

I'm waiting for an answer.

So, no Anti-Aircraft weaponry.

But then again, as that review pointed out, the Killbots kept on pulling new abilities out of their shiny metal asses. But yeah.

So, any other, much more obscure slashers with AA weaponry?

The Joker('s mooks) brings down an helicopter at one point with heavy cables. Wouldn't work at long range, though.

I fail to see why a slasher would even need AA weaponry. One of the conventions of the genre is that the victims are a small isolated group of civilians. The most firepower I can see a slasher facing is if they run into a cop, and even then a slasher is unlikely to face off against aerial targets.

....Not saying none exist. Just saying good luck in finding any.

Perhaps there are some "exploder films"?

I think of slasher films as being like space-there's a lot of it, but there's still much we don't know, and much that is fascinating.

It makes sense for me. Don't know if that analogy works for anyone else.

It just seems like you are making threads about slashers for the sake of making threads about slashers.

Wouldn't it be better to create a thread discussing a particular slasher? Or a trope that is common amongst slasher movies or the slashers themselves? You know an actual discussion.

Keeping all the discussions in the Slasher Films thread would probably reduce forum clutter.

For the sake of it?? And this is an actual discussion, since, oh I don't know, people are saying stuff and responding. If that is not a discussion, then I don't know what is.

It isn't really a discussion about anything though. Its three posts about robots who aren't slashers, one about the Joker and a half page about how pointless this thread is.

How the fuck are the Killbots from Chopping Mall not slashers? Seriously, just because it isn't human and doesn't have a blade as it's signature weapon, that does not mean it isn't a damn slasher! Chopping Mall even has most of the typical tropes and conventions of the genre, for fuck's sake!

All right then its three posts about a robot who might be a slasher, one about the joker and a dozen about how this thread is pointless.

I agree that the Joker post meant nothing, for obvious reasons. Now, can we all please get back on topic??

Here is a better idea. Just create a general Slashers thread and have this conversation under there instead.

Joker is often considered a slasher villain in a superhero movie, hence why I thought it was appropriate, if a bit of a stretch.

He talked too much to be called a slasher.
