Wow, there's a LOT there competing for the eye's attention.

Agreed. We need an image, but there's waaaaaay too much going on there. Plus, it's very tall... it's either going to hang down into examples, or be ridiculously skinny.

I don't really like it, the picture is too busy and there are too many things distracting from the cane.

... I think the dialog in that one is even more distracting. And awesome.

Doesn't really look like a cane, though.

6.2 is easily my favorite in the topic so far.

Definitely helps with both of my issues, but I still think 6.2 is still just a better image.

I prefer 6.2 as well.

6.2 and 9 are good images, but I'd really like to see more of the cane and less of the wielder. Here's some suggestions.

I like the shiny one in the middle.

One more, that's better quality than the previous ones. The first and third are darker because they're Damascus blades.

The one in the middle on 12 is white on white so it disappears. It would probably work better with a different background. I like the first of the three.

I like 6.2 over the actual canes, it's more dynamic and interesting. I do not consider strict literalism a virtue here.

I agree wholeheartedly. It's not like we're going to be seeing misuse by showing the guy with the sword cane instead of just the cane. Hell, showing the guy drawing it gives it context, which I always appreciate.

9 is not too busy and 12.3 has a neat grip, but 6.2 is certainly the best. That dude is cool.

I prefer to show a character wielding it, not just the cane.

Eh, worth a shot. *shrug* My suggestion for 6.2 would be to remove the teal and that line going through his hat, and then maybe crop off some of the cane that's past his hand.
