Imperial Glory Remix: A Grand Conquest Role-Play

1399 AD, the World is split into many nations, kingdoms, and tribes all led by men and women of honor and ambition. Some nations are great and some nations are small, but all of them seek to make their mark on history.

Can you lead these nations to victory and glory? Can you become a grand conqueror?

Okay, this is a Grand Conquest Role-Play, where players control factions and build these factions into empires. War, diplomacy, and research can be carried out between players, as well as conquest.

RULES

• The game begins in 1399 and ends in 1922. It is turn-based and each turn is equivalent to one full year of in-game time. A new turn is declared after six players make their posts and send in their requests.

• Diplomacy is done via in-character interaction. Players pick a faction and create their own leader. Since this RP is somewhat Animesque, you can make your character however you want, it doesn't have to be historically accurate. Leaders are used for making posts of diplomacy and war.

• Wars, Technological Research, Conquest, and Economic Development is done via requests per turn. Every player gets three requests per turn (although requests add up for missed turns, so if a player misses a turn, they get six requests for the next turn) and posts the requests in the Discussion Thread. The GM or Co-GM will go to a random number generator and roll a number between 1 and 100. 50 is the bare minimum for a success and the higher the number, the better the success.
  • Certain nations may get modifiers for the request depending on the circumstances. The modifier cannot be above +25 or below -25.

• The following items require the following number of successful requests. NOTE: Sci-Fi Technology Upgrades preclude the upgrade to the next era. So, if you research Sci-Fi Technology Upgrade (Steampunk), you cannot research the technology of the Modern Era Upgrade.

  • Establish a Colony: 4 Requests
  • Basic Technology Upgrade (Wheels, Agriculture, Metalworking): 3 Requests, meant for tribal nations in the New World and Africa
  • Enlightenment Era Technology Upgrade (17th-18th Century): 5 Requests
  • Industrial Era Technology Upgrade (19th Century): 10 Requests, requires Enlightenment Era Upgrade
  • Modern Technology Upgrade (1910-1945): 10 Requests, requires Industrial Era Upgrade

I am unsure of who to claim. I'm torn between the Knights Hospitaller or one of the Irish Provinces.
