Mobile Suit Gundam: Where Shadows Hide

UC 0079.

The last weeks of the One Year War.

Over half the Human race is extinct at this point. The Earth Federation has started its push against the Principality of Zeon, forcing the once proud Zeon Mobile Suit Corps off Earth and and moving for the endgame against the Army which at one point was almost poised to conquer Earth.

Our story is set against this backdrop.

The Green Angels are Zeon's Elite Propaganda Demonstration team, used to great effect during the beginning of the War. Each pilot was hand picked by Zeon high command to inspire their troops to victory and show off just what the Zeon Elite Space Forces could do.

What this means in real terms was that Zeon high command, picked the pilots who could fly the best but that does not mean they could fight the best. The Green Angels were never intended to go into actual combat, as that might lead to them getting killed, which would devastate morale.

But the War has come this far. And now the Green Angels have to survive against an Enemy who is determined to ensure that Zeon pays for its crimes. What chance do a rag tag bunch of stunt pilots have? Now, I'm fully open to thoughts and ideas for this, mainly on who would like to pilot what.

Anyone have any ideas on what they'd like to see in this?

Character

• Name: Should be Fairly Obvious
• Age: Nothing under 16, Zeon would have taken teenagers but not the younger ones.
• Personality: Don't need a epic description here, but basic drives, desires, etc.
• History: Again, nothing Epic. Maybe why they joined the military, their background, etc.

Mobile Suit

• Designation: Of the two starter units, which do you like? Do you have another option in mind?
• Weaponry: Again, fairly basic. The Zaku II and the Rick Dom can exchange most of the weaponry they use so you can get creative.

Actually the Gyan might be useable...when we are on Earth. But not right at the beginning. The zaku is usable...somewhat.

Yes, but from the looks of things our RP is set when the F2 you linked is just starting to come into production.

Would I get chased out of the RP pursued by an angry mob for doing a straight transplant of a character from another series modified slightly to fit this universe?

And I am okay with using something else when we're in an environment that the Gyan can't operate in, but damn it I want my space knight. >.> <.<

Actually the Gyan was first used on Earth so it does work there.

I'll be figuring out our character profiles in a bit.

Which one? If its from Seed, I'm fine.

Deady doesn't mean a character from another Gundam series, he means a character from a completely unconnected series.

...If I remember right, Strike Witches.

I'm no GM, but okay? I'm doing my best to make my character be from Metal Wolf Chaos.

...I must insist all characters wear pants. I don't mind if you use someone's appearance from another anime, Zeon was running out of soldiers and so drafting kids as young as 15-16 is not totally out of the realm of possibility.

But seriously...we're in space. Full Space suits while in space! On Earth...we'll cross that bridge when it comes

MOBILE SUITS

Alright, onto the stuff we all wanna talk about. What giant mecha do we pilot?

Well, for the beginning of the RPG, I kinda want to limit ourselves to what Zeon was using right at the end of the war. And thus I've come up with two primary machines:

The MS-06F2 Zaku II F2 Type, produced at the end of the war to match the GM used by the Federation. Lighter and faster than the regular Zaku II. Can pretty much use any handheld weapon (except, of course, for beam weaponry) from the Zeon armory.

The MS-09R Rick Dom. The Heavyweight of the two, usually packs a massive 360mm bazooka for a main gun, but it can use most machineguns as well. Usually one handed due to the Dom's heft.

Oh man, how do I decide between a Zaku and a Rick Dom? They're both awesome, uh, hmmm...

...Either way, going to try and upgrade to a Gyan as soon as possible because space knight. >.> <.<
