Was it Professor Utonium who made a nature documentary about Fuzzy Lumpkins?
Oh, I remember the episode now. I don't think I ever watched that all the way through.
I really disliked the Wild West episode. There was some mildly amusing humor about the censored firearms, and the Steampuffs' design was very cute, but overall it felt like it dragged, and the AU setting definitely could have been explored better.
Come to think about it, 'it dragged' probably was a common flaw, for me at least, of the post-movie episodes, even if the Wild West one took it the furthest IMHO. Overall, the timing that made the original cartoons feel like they flowed smooth and quickly was absent from later stories taking the same time but stretching the material almost painfully- maybe the later premises were more of one-note jokes that went too far?
From what I remember, the Dexter's Lab revival had a similar problem.
there was a much bigger focus on comedy in the post movie seasons, as opposed to pre-movie which was still quite comedic but mostly an action show.
As does a lot of post movie Sponge bob episodes as well.
Though Dex and PPG had it worse, honestly. At least with Sponge bob theirs some episode that stick out post movie(both good and bad). I can barely remember most episodes of PPG and Dexter's Laboratory from the post movie seasons and the ones I do I don't remember much of what had happened in them beyond bits a pieces. They're just so forgettable.

My Tumblr "If theirs one thing I'm good at, it's blowing" Jesse Cox 2013I don't remember the Wild West episode, but I do remember one where they were sucked into a silent movie. That one was amusing.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Yeah, I think I might have seen that!
I do remember the premises of the post-movie seasons of PPG. There is one where they have to deal with a stench monster, one where they learn cursing (a rip-off of Spongebob's Sailor Mouth), one where they lie and it gets bigger (a rip-off of the Veggie Tales episode "Larry-Boy! And The Fib From Outer Space!"), one where they try to raise enough money to keep the Gangreen Gang from buying a weapon from Mojo, the bed-wetting one, one where they try to get information from Talking Dog about a crime he witnessed, HIM and Mojo having a custody battle over the Rowdyruff Boys, the silent film one, one where they get sunburned, one where Mojo kidnaps the Narrator...
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! You know, just because two TV shows have episodes with similar plots, it doesn't mean one is a ripoff of the other.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. You tell that to some people...
In any case, the episode you're thinking of on the last page is in fact the one where Mojo finds out that Him brought back the Rowdyruff Boys and tries to compete for their affection.
The final two seasons were not that bad, folks. Much like everything else people criticize for being "worse than the original" is not that bad.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Eh...I'll agree with you on this one that the past two seasons of PPG were not too bad. Definitely not as bad as bad Spongebob or bad Family Guy.
I'll agree at least on the one where they learn about cursing. The lying one is a bit too similar to Larry-Boy for me, though.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I wouldn't say the post movie seasons are bad, just so boring and bland they're barely memorable in the slightest. Same deal with Dexter's Laboratory. Like I said, I can barely remember what happens in those seasons beyond premises. They're just so forgettable.
My Tumblr "If theirs one thing I'm good at, it's blowing" Jesse Cox 2013one where they try to get information from Talking Dog about a crime he witnessed
I actually liked this one. The one where Mojo kidnaps the Narrator wasn't half bad either.
I'm not saying they're bad.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Great comparison there. I was so heartbroken about the last two seasons of Dexters Laboratory, since it was my favorite show as a kid.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I didn't mind the last couple season of those shows, artstyle side in teh case of Dexter's Lab.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."People say the art style of the later Dexter's Lab seasons was "ugly," but let's be honest, it wasn't. The characters were more stylized, and they'd started using digital coloring.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Honestly, I thought the new art style was more appealing than the old one. Just the writing sucked, for the most part. And Candi Milo, while a fine voice actor on her own, was a terrible replacement for Christine Cavanaugh.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Wait, Candi Milo is going to voice Buttercup? Now, I can trust this series will be fun to watch.
