Sounds like a monumental task though; given the number of types of beards covered in the trope and article. That said, I have a couple of suggestions to start off for the "Obi Wan". My idea is to show the character mentoring another - thereby suggesting a benevolent character type: [1]

As much as I'd like to have Kenobi as the image due to its name, I think his beard is too small to be clearly seen in the size constraint you suggested. Hence why for my backup, I went with Richard Harris' Dumbledore; who had one of the biggest beards in recent memory.
Moving down to the "thick moustache" (Cops, Private Eyes & Plumbers) archetype, I'd like to suggest Ventakesh's character
◊ from the Indian film Gharshana for the purpose of adding some racial diversity to the people populating article pics. The neat but regulation uniform and pose with cap under arm suggests, at least to me, that he is an honest cop.

When going through this page, I thought it would be helpful to see an example of each type of hair style under the folder headings to give quick illustrations on what that hair style looks like and how is it heroic or villainous.
Suggestions will be sorted in Sandbox.Good Hair Evil Hair in a similar manner to Stock Poses. Images should be relatively small, like around 250 px.
On an unrelated note, I like the current image, but would like a better quality version. For reference, here is the previous thread
