Raising your fist way into the air is a different gesture physically at the very least. I think it might also mean excitement more than triumph or determination.
The problem with the examples that were originally in the article was that they were all zero context.
In pictures, they look very much the same. I would have to see the actual gesture, but they feel awfully close.
And saying that they re different is arguing against the merge/for the split.
Do we want to do anything more with this or no? I could see splitting off the fist way in the air trope, but I could also see saying the two different gestures mean similar enough things to just lump them together.
I'd say that we are finished here. If anyone wants to do something with the redirect, they are free to do so in YKTTW without using this TRS at all.
