Hey guys, I know I may have asked this question before, but how did blu and jewel's relationship start out?
Did it start as unrequited love ( where blu falls at first sight, jewel doesn't like blu until later) or was it mutual disliking ( blu doesn't like jewel, and jewel doesn't like blu either until later on)?
This is because some articles say that only jewel was the one who had any hate in their relationship, even some of them having said blu fell for her at first sight, with others saying it was mutual disliking for one another.
I had a question put on this forum that was similar, but it had to do with what tropes applied to blu and jewel's relationship.
It started as nothing, and then slowly progressed into something.
What do you mean by that? like, were they neutral toward one another at first or something?
Blu was attracted to Jewel at first, but that lessened a little after she attacked him. Jewel didn't like Blu because he was a pet. But Blu was the friendlier of the two during their initial journey, while Jewel was more snide and derisive.
Okay, using several people I know personally as a base, here is how wub works:
You need to be predisposed to a person, but you also need time to realize that when you are around them. Love at first sight is possible, but very unlikely.
To make it simple, think of liquid glue and wood. Glue sticks to wood, but not immediately. You need to give it time.
Now, Blu and Jewel might be burds, but they are clearly based on humans (anthropomorphic animals). And we should assume that, for them, wub operates the same way. If you think it doesn't, you are just over-complicating things for yourself.
Now, I explained how wub works. It worked the same way for them. Nothing to get detailed over. Certainly no need to add more tropes to the character page.

. I agree with you on that Blu was briefly attracted to Jewel when they first meet. However, after Jewel attacked him, not only did it get rid of his attraction towards her, it also probably caused Blu to have at least some degree of disdain for her, especially after she calls him a pet.
In other words, while I agree that Jewel didn't like Blu at first because he was flightless and a pet, I also believe that Blu didn't really like Jewel at first either. I mean, would you still like someone who tried to strangle you TWICE when you first met, and be called a pet afterwords? Sorry, I get a little too passionate sometimes
I do agree though that Blu is the friendlier of the two, while Jewel is more of a bully (at first of course, thank god for Character Development). I think the reason he's friendlier than Jewel however, is more of it being part of his personality, the environment he grew up in, and due to his situation rather than any sort of attraction he would have for Jewel.

So guys about Blu and Jewel's relationship, when do Blu and Jewel fall in love?
Do both fall in love at the same time, or at separate times? Is it at a specific moment or is it over the course of the journey? Give evidence to support your answer.

You know, you could watch the movie yourself.
I actually had. Multiple times thank you very much. I am just asking everyone's opinion on when Blu and Jewel fall in love. I ask this question above because the awkward crush/romance montage has been used so many times for these two lovebirds.
-When they first met (mostly applied to only Blu, but some apply it to Jewel if you count how they end up in that dance position while they were fighting.)
-When they escape the smugglers and find shelter (though it was more building a friendship than romance.)
-When Rafael has them stand side to side and put their wings around each other (debatable, but they did look rather nervous and embarrassed when they did, sometimes I think they even blushed.)
-Their Dance of Romance at the samba club, along with how they almost kissed.
-On the trolley when Blu does multiple attempts to express his feelings towards Jewel. Yeah, it was awkward most of the time, but Jewel did heavily imply that she felt the same way about him. Evidenced by how she smiled when tried putting his wing around her and when he got the beautiful eyes part right, if only for a short time. When he was about to tell how she felt, she actually looked as if she knew about his feelings and wanted him to say it.
- Basically, every time Blu and Jewel are seen in the third act, whether together or separate.
Sir... I am afraid you are a bit too obsessed over this particular example of canon shipping. Give it a rest.
Dude, i actually think you're right . I guess I just can't seem to get over it because I really don't have very much else to do when I am at home or on the weekends . I'm kind of a do whatever is on my mind kind of person, and this canon ship is on my mind. Life is always changing, so I am gonna change it again.
I think this is probably going to be my last post on this part of the Tv Tropes forum. I am still gonna look at it, because the last time I tried quitting cold turkey it just got me even more hooked when I came back, but I think I am gonna stop posting questions, my own opinions, and activities in general, and I am going to gradually get myself free from this obsession, and look up this forum less often. It's not gonna be easy but I can at least try.

Just got back from seeing it. I won't spoil anything for you, but I will say it lived up to my expectations quite nicely. The music, the scenery, the characters... all great. The plot was good, if a little predictable in parts. All in all, a worthy successor to the original.
I beliiv u.
In only 3 days I will see it tü.
To be honest, the one part of the trailer for the first movie that caught my attention was this.
Have they shown anything else that interesting yet?
I dunno... I have higher standards. A shot of a bütte getting hit by a ball is not enough for me.
No, to grab my attention, that woman needs to perform a sexy dance, minimum one minute in length.
If everything goes as planned, I'll watch the movie tomorrow.
Today's the day, guys!
…and it's evenly split 50/50 on both RT and Metacritic. Uh oh.
Peace is the only battle worth waging. And on the Roger Ebert site, it got 2 out of 4 stars.
His site is now managed by various critics in his honor and they divy up movies to review.
But I suppose I should just go with your joke and say ha ha ha haaaa you're so funny.

I was expecting that, to be honest. As much as I liked the first one, this one seems mostly unnecessary. I was gonna wait for the DVD anyway.
Just saw it. It was AMAZING.
"Even in sleep you mock me... "
Darn, I thought they used the magic DVD player to get the review!
Seeing how Troperrific the first one was, I say the sequel deserves a sub section or something.
And I'll probably make one if no one does it first.
The little reasons that bring us closer together...
