Why would Chris join the Umbrella Corps though?
I mean Heavenly Island pretty much established the UC as the Dark Mirror Image of the BSAA, Yeah they clean up a mess but they do it mostly for profit and what they can scavenge
Vendetta looks less like a bridge to RE 7 and more what RE 6 promised the fabled Leon Chris team up
It even has Bane!

I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Almost near the ending of watching someone play this on Youtube. I must say, it has been many years since I was into an RE game but this one is really good. I love the story and the characters.
What I don't understand about this series, is if these companies want an effective bioweapon why not just use smallpox? Or weaponize influenza.
While there are terrorist groups that would like those, most of the people in the series creating these weapons are much more interested in some form of transhumanism, using viruses and other biological components to enhance themselves or select others. The actual BO Ws and viruses are frequently a means to an end, either sold to raise capital or simply used as a continuation of standard military hardware.
Just picked up the deluxe edition of the game. Wasn't super interested in it despite the great demo. Heard tons of great reviews, watched a teeny bit of Markiplier's playthrough over my sister's shoulder and got interested in the gameplay and now it's mine.
I'm excited. And kinda scared already. I haven't played a proper horror anything since PT and I'm a big weenie.
Also like 99% unspoiled so far, which is also a rarity for me.
Oh really when?Hate to double post but wow, holy fucking shit. That was my fucking hand. What the hell is in this first aid stuff that it can just do that?
Oh really when?Welcome to the family, son.
It's been 3000 years…I'm currently looking for the three dog heads to open the door.
I'm definitely getting Resident Evil 1 vibes from all this. I also really like the video tape segments, I think it's a real interesting way to sorta cut away from Ethan's bit and explore other scenarios without breaking up the story.
If I've got one complaint it's that my character apparently sprints at what can be considered a light jog at best.
I mean I get that it's for gameplay reasons but still. Pick it up man.

Oh really when?Ya know, from let's play I watched, its bizarre how this is so RE and still so not
I mean, you can see writer is actually western instead of Japanese. While game is totally RE in, well, everything, the dialog and files feel much more natural than usually .-.

I don't remember any mention of a D-Series type BOW from previous games. What are some bumfuck family out in the middle of Louisiana doing with this sorta strain?
Either way I spent my coins on that sick .44 Automag and backtracked for the grenade launcher. Time to go kill Marguerite and get her lantern back I suppose.
Kinda wanna look for more coins to get the health stuff first though. I just need two.
Oh really when?Prepare the barf bucket, you may need it for her.
It's been 3000 years…Yeah that sure was something. Go damn.
Time to get me a D-Series arm I guess. Boy I do not like the buildup to the Detention Room.
God I wish I had ammo.

Oh really when?Hearing great things about the game, though I've been avoiding preview and review footage.
My main concern is this: is there anything to this game beyond Hillbilly Horrors? I'm not a fan of killer hick families chasing people around and all the ads seem to be promising the infamous Texas Chainsaw Massacre dinner scene.

"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984Without getting too spoilery and bearing in mind that I haven't beaten the game myself. The Hillbilly Horror part is what I guess you could consider Act 1. And even then if you read the notes and the files and stuff things are quite a bit deeper than they seem.
Made it to the tanker by the way and watched the video.

Oh really when? They're more like deadites, really.

Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.I can pretty much say the plot progression from movie/game titles. Read the spoilers at your discretion.
Silent Hill 2 -> Evil Dead -> Texas Chainsaw Massacre meets The Terminator -> old-school Resident Evil -> old-school giant bug movies -> Saw -> FEAR.
It's been 3000 years…Beat the game. Was some great fun, the tanker and mine sections were a bit short though. I would have liked if they had lasted as long as the house portion.
Also uh, "Redfield" and the Umbrella chopper. And Wesker's handgun. What's going on?
Oh really when?FEAR is one of my all time favorite games, so hearing that this game takes some nods from it in the later parts is highly enticing.
It's likely not Chris but HUNK. Hell those choppers had a blue umbrella logo.
I was already worried for Ethan and Mia being picked up by Umbrella but boy are they in trouble if that really is HUNK
Oh really when? From Ethan's reaction he was expecting them
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole! The credits clearly say Chris Redfield. Of course they wouldn't spoil anything in regards to a future twist, but Occams razor says it's simply another redesign.

Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence. If it is why is he with Umbrella?
Oh really when?they've got a movie coming out with Chris in it voiced by someone else, and he still has his 5-6 design. The Not a Hero DLC tease also suggests this isn't the real Chris.
Alright, I've done some poking around in the pages for the Resident Evil: Vendetta yesterday. And apparently:
...You know, for the few seconds he was on, this new VA for Chris isn't all that ba—(gets shot at with the Albert-01R.)
