I don't see the compression artifacts, and it looks like The Simpson's style of art, and it works as a visual pun, but I do think it would be worth some time looking for a better one out there somewhere.

I don't see anything wrong with the picture. It's a graveyard with names of Native Americans on the headstones.

This image, while being kind of weak (the trope is not just about graveyards), straddles the line of acceptable.

Well considering that the image name is treehouse-of-horror-i1_5292.png, I'd say you're right. Pot Holed. Now, it is a png, so no compression. I dunno, it looks like artifacts to me. I like the image itself, but perhaps that was the quality of the animation,
