Yeeeeessssssssssssssssssss! I guessed it'd be dial-up AND IT'S DIAL-UP! It's actually dial-up! Wooooooooooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooo!

Overjoyment aside, sounds like ambience from a horror game.

OK, that was creepy. If someday I need to make one horror film of some kind, this is going to be in the soundtrack.

"......Huh?" Myself, 2014.

I'm calling bullshit. A dialup modem slowed down 700% wouldn't sound like a hauntingly beautiful ambient soundtrack. It'd just sound like... WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. Like a foghorn. Or the sounds the tripods from War of the Worlds made.

[up][up] That would be if you just slowed it down the regular way, as if you were doing it via tape. This is time-stretching it, i.e. - slowing it down without changing the pitch.

(I used to intern in radio production.)
