Ever seen a Reality Ensues?

Pretty much the tin. Have you ever seen someone try a trope, only to be deconstructed to funny or otherwise results?

I'll start first. My friend is a Shipper on Deck, and she's been shipping me with a girl I liked since high school. She genuinely believes that doing so will make us fall for each other, so I can't really blame. Me and that girl's relationship became really awkward.

Somebody tried to do the Shipper on Deck trope with me too with some girl that I was good friends with and then I realized I actually did have feelings for her.

And there's where the trope fell on me. I told her in a PM my feelings for him, and she didn't "friendzone" me or anything like that but we're in this weird limbo right now. She's up for a relationship but she wants to know me better first.
