I'm just gonna go out on a limb and say that this game makes for the best Diesel Punk themed Code Geass game ever made. wink

What's interesting is that this game was originally a standalone game about an alternate 1960 with no connection to Wolfenstein, other than being about Nazis ruling the world. It was redesigned as a Wolfenstein sequel when they couldn't get the idea off the ground. It makes sense considering the trouble they went to in order to make a really fleshed out setting for the game. I mean, they even went to the trouble of writing and recording a bunch of alternate history songs that most people probably will never hear when playing. They're all pretty catchy too.

Berlin Boys sind immer für dich da,
Berlin Boys sind einfach wunderbar.

Also, sometimes I've noticed a "validating DLC" message when starting up the game. I really hope they have DLC in the pipeline and just haven't announced it yet - or even better, a fully fledged expansion pack, which would make sense given how the game is old school in many other ways. It's also pretty clear they're setting up Frau Engel as the villain for a future expansion or sequel. I just hope we get to fight Mecha-Hitler or Cyber-Goebbels or maybe even Robo-Mengele at some stage.

I was actually one of the people convinced this game would be absolutely terrible in the lead up to release. It's nice to be proven wrong sometimes.

What makes a good man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?

Any reason why we're calling Blatzkowitz an idiot for not noticing Deathshead using a grenade during the ending to take himself out with Blatzkowitz? I mean, didn't the latter grab the former's arm before using the grenade?

Blazkowicz takes grenades to the face on an hourly basis. Deathshead is the stupid one for thinking a grenade would kill the man who is capable of taking on the entire Third Reich all at once.

[up] Then can I please get rid of that bit under Stupidity Is the Only Option on our page on the game?

So, I just picked up a copy of these under the pleading words of a friend who claimed that the game has surprisingly good writing.

Anything I should know about previous installments before I play New Order? Mostly talking about stuff that might lock me out of the loop.

Nope. All you need to know is that BJ Blazkowicz is an awesome Jewish Nazi killer, Deathshead and the Nazis are evil, it is both a sci-fi and historical series, get psyched.

Trust me, you are in for a treat. wink

I hear wonderful things about this game; Fresh from Brutal Doom, and rearing to get into Brutal Doom-ified Doom II, some more of the same action sounds great, but a ridiculous yet legitimately heartstring-strumming story is just the icing on the cake. In a way, it's almost heartwarming in that one of the pioneers of the action shooter is finally relevant in glorious next gen.

And it was successful enough to get some DLC that wasn't bundled Day 1! Wonderful!

Heck, I'm upgrading to a different PC just to get it ready for some New Order, because I want this goddamn game that much.

I'm on the moon currently, need to pick it up. Decided to ignore my "I MISSED THE GOLD SECRET!" obsessions and just enjoy the shooting. Yes, I may have msised some health boosters, but sod it.

And I need to play through again with Not-Fergus.

The new DLC looks... fabulous. Getting a nice RTCW vibe (Of course!)

What do you guys think? Should The Old Blood get its own page? Far Cry Blood Dragon had one of its own, so I'm just asking...

Yeah I also did a small page for MachineGames which might turn out useless if the developer become the Guys who only make Wolfenstein games now.

Think it should just be a second folder, since its plot figures into the game's and Blood Dragon's didn't.

Speaking of this I just beat the game a few days ago, finally. Took me longer than I thought it would but I had fun with it. Final boss was annoying, though. I probably could have beat it in one shot if it wasn't for the fire that's everywhere.

Good idea my Sir! It has been done now

3 folders: Reurring tropes from the series, those specific to The New Order, and those specific to The Old Blood.

MachineGames better not dissapoint creating a page for thier company
