Huh.
...only the second iteration of Superman, though, since Returns was still in continuity with the '78 film and its first sequel (while ignoring 3 and 4) IIRC.
...anyone have recs they'd like to share?
I personally would prefer Spidey stories, but I'm also hip with X-Men if it's newbie-friendly.
Well, I've got a link to my Spidey fanfic in my signature. The X-Men show up in it, too. It's based on the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon, though, so you'd really have to be familiar with that show to understand it.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.Yeah, the only Spidey cartoons I'm terribly familiar with are the 90's one (BEST SPIDEY EVER) and the 60's one (and to a lesser extent, the 70's Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends).
If you like The Animated Series, then Spectacular Spider-Man is definitely worth your time.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.Spectacular Spider-Man is my personal favourite version of Spider-Man in any medium outside of the comics themselves. Much better than any of the films. It was cut short (only got a 26 episode run out of a planned 65) but it's still well worth it. Excellent plotting, characterization, action and animation, and it's a ton of fun. You can tell the creators truly understood the characters and loved the source material.
I don't have Spider-Man fanfic yet (it's on the way), but I do have X-Men fanfic (along with lots of other Marvel stuff) that does not require previous canon knowledge on my signature link.
An alternate time. An alternate world.A lot of the cartoons are great, but personally I'm also a huge fan of some of the video games that come out.
The PSX Spidey game, for instance, is one of my all-time favorites from that console (though I confess that Nostalgia Factor does play a part in that; also, its sequel Enter Electro was not as good as the first game). Same (but not quite to the same degree) goes for the PS 3's Web of Shadows and Shattered Dimensions.
Hell, I even admit to liking the PS 2 Licensed Games for the first film trilogy (well sort of; the first game is kind of a mixed bag but good for its time, the one based on the second movie is just plain awesome, and I really loved the PS 2 version of Spider-Man 3, but hated the PS 3 version). ...although part of that liking is just for the sake of the required Adaptation Expansion (Spider-Man 2 featuring a oneshot duel with Rhino, brief subplots with Black Cat, a Mysterio plot arc, and a shorter revenge plot with Shocker, from the first game).
I liked the Spider-Man 2 video game's plot better than the actual movie's plot. And it made the Tobey Macguire Spider-Man quip like he was supposed to!
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.I really dig this series. Wish the author would continue it.
Finally back to working on this.
I think this is the first chapter to not actually have Spider-Man in it. Sorry for the resulting quippage deficiency.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.Suddenly, something weird came to my head.
Agents of SHIELD/The Devil is a Part Timer!

That would be glorious.
Maou makes them wait until his shift finishes.

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.I though you did it pretty well in that chapter. I don't think you sliped into Wangst at all.
Also you might want to move the authors note to the the end or start of the chapter, in story authors notes bug a lot of people.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobIt's supposed to mimic the editor's notes in comic books. Being at the end of a paragraph is supposed to be like being at the bottom of a panel in a comic.

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.Fun fact: I was going to have this fanfic be a crossover between Spectacular Spider-Man and Earth's Mightiest Heroes... but then I realized it'd be way too much work to keep all that continuity straight, so instead I just went with my own made-up versions of all the Avengers stuff.
That's why in this fanfic, Galactus recently came to Earth just before the start of the story, because that's the last thing to happen in the EMH cartoon.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.I eventually plan on reading your fic.
Anyway, I was bitten again by a Spidey idea I had some time ago - namely, Peter takes his superpowers to fight crime as a proud member of the NYPD instead of going vigilante.
A couple of other, concurrent ideas started flowing in, basically evolving from just "Spidey's a cop" to "potentially multiple street-level heroes are cops". It kinda suggests the creation of a special unit/task force, similar to SWAT or the comics' Code Blue.
Anyone have ideas for what this unit of deputized metahumans might be called? Be kinda nice to have it as an acronym. One thought I had was that they could be individually referred to as Metahuman Enforcement and Tactics Agents, for example...
Glad you're showing interest in my fic. Thanks!
Hmm, your idea kinda reminds me of this one issue of Marvel Adventures Spider-Man where Spidey tries (unsuccessfully) to become an official member of the police. For him to actually become an officer, he'd probably have to get his powers as an adult, though.
Also, "META" sounds fine.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon."In brightest day

No evil shall escape my sight.
It's my responsibility to do what's right
With the great power
Of Green Lantern's Light!"
Also, is there any feasible way a Flash Thompson Spider-Man would have webs?

My various fanfics.IIRC, the comics storyline The Other even had Spider-Man get resurrected with self-produced-organic-webbing as a new power, so that he didn't need web-shooters anymore.
Okay, I wrote another chapter, but I'm still considering myself on a "break" from this story. It's just that these next couple chapters are going to be more episodic, so I figured I'd just write them sporadically whenever I feel like it.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.
Yep.
When you think about it, the next Batman will also be a Third Modern Age iteration (since Burton and Schumacher's films shared a continuity, but Nolan and Snyder's don't).
