So, this is basically Chobits, the RP. Interest. Also: Will all partners get a PC Master? That could be fun.
UhAlright, I'll use the same one as last time. I was so sad that Cats and I couldn't keep up our combo. I wonder if he's gonna bring back Dave so we can partner up.
- Name: Carl "Steel" Irons
- Age: 25
- Gender: Male
- Appearance: Booya◊ (Oh, uh, he doesn't wear that while piloting, though, he'll wear whatever standard-issue flightsuit he's given)
- Personality: Positive, energetic, boisterous, and direct. Has a sense of curiosity and likes to explore. He's not a dolt, but he does prefer simple solutions to elaborate plans. He talks loudly and quickly, and is always smiling. Protective of those who befriend him and gain his trust. Firmly believes No One Gets Left Behind. His word is solid and he's not prone to lie. He does appreciate a good joke, though.
- History: The son of a Gentleman Adventurer, Carl's fondest memories as a child are his summers spent exploring with his father. He enlisted in the US Army at 18 to go visit all sorts of exciting new countries. After using a crashed airplane's machine gun as an infantry weapon on one assignment, and stealing a tank from a few less-than-pleased terrorists on another, Carl fell in love with heavy weaponry and armor, and kept trying to get sent into armored divisions. Because he spent two years assigned to the base in Okinawa*, he was loaned out to the Japanese to a strange, but exciting, armor division.
- Mecha: Generation I Roosevelt-Class Bipedal Heavy Support Platform. Carl's is called "Quentin".
- Mecha Appearance: That thing right there.◊ But it's painted red and blue, with the weapons painted white.
- Mecha Abilities: "Speak softly, and carry a big stick" - The product of a US-Japanese endeavor to make tougher mechs on a budget, the Roosevelt class essentially saddles down a typical mech frame with extra armor normally employed in tanks. That's okay, though, since the Roosevelt class was not designed as an assault mech. Instead, it was designed to support other, more offensive, mechs. It has some mobility options (namely, jump jets), but is slower and has less acceleration. Though just because it's slow doesn't make it a sitting duck - it is heavily armored with steel and composites with an energy-absorbing mesh weaved in.
- High-Energy Anti-Armor Rail-Based Magnetic Accelerator Cannon - "The Big Stick": The right arm has no hand, instead it possesses a railgun. The barrels in the left hand are intake valves used to cool off the weapon.
- Aggressive Defense System: The Roosevelt carries many missiles in its shoulders. Though, calling them missiles is a bit kind, as they do not carry very much fuel, have a minimal blast radius, and a somewhat cheap targeting system. But what the missiles lack in range and ability is made up by being small, making them easier to carry and quite fast, which makes them perfect for destroying incoming missiles and small unarmored vehicles.

Interest!
and also...really not seeing the chobits similarity and pretty sure Master isn't an appropriate term but...still interest!
Tempted.
Both pilots and partners are players. Master isn't the appropriate term, and connections to chobits are kind of tenuous at best. There's robots who are really human-like, and that's about it.
Will be looking into profiles in-depth soon.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Interested. Hopefully I can actually come up with a character idea this time. >.<
Burn up, hurricane of justice!- Name: Robin Hibari
- Age: 18
- Gender: Male
- Appearance: A gentleman should always look his best, at all times.
- Personality: Hibari is reserved and cool most of the time and focuses mainly on his duties as a pilot while attempting to keep an aura of gentlemanly professionalism. Occasionally this outer shell cracks, revealing a much kinder, warmer and...weirder side of him than expected prone to fits of childish silliness and hammy antics. But only occasionally.
- History: Hibari is from a formerly extremely wealthy family that dedicated the majority of their money to funding the construction and maintenence of giant mecha due to the wishes of his rather eccentric father. He became a mecha pilot to try and understand his father better and see exactly what sacrificing his family's wealth and dignity has bought him.
- Mecha: Brahmastra
- Mecha Appearance: it can still totally run with that skir-I mean err, additional leg armor
- Mecha Abilities: Brahmastra's primary weapon is it's bow, which it uses to fire mecha-sized arrows. These "arrows" actually expand into missiles to become explosive rocket-propelled javelins after firing. It also has a special arrow that extends into a spear for close combat purposes.
Partners are designed to look like young people, and have thought, etc. The partners in specific were what I was talking about.
UhWell, yes. The partners generally are designed to be young(ranging from children to teens mostly) and are usually physically younger then the pilot they're assigned to(usually). They have all the mental capability of a human being.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Alrighty... Dblade, you're accepted!
Nman, I'm a little on the fence about your character. It's hard to put it into words, I'm going to put a bit more thought into my decision.
Now, um... here's a pair of Partners. I'm planning on making a pilot, too.
- Name: Chie
- Gender: Female
- Appearance: "Leave me alone. I'm drawing."
- Personality: Chie has a personality that greatly contrasts her small, childish body. She has a tendency to be deeply sarcastic towards others if she decides they deserve to be treated with sarcasm, and she often quietly teases others. She enjoys drawing, and has a deep interest in anime, manga, and video games, which she pursues whenever she is able to. Chie often draws or writes about these things, though her writing is significantly more childish then her drawing. In spite of her thick layer of sarcasm, she does still have the personality of a child and is surprisingly easily frightened. Chie has once said that she has no qualms with bonding with a pilot, but she wants a pilot suited to her. She has not revealed what she means by this.
- History: Chie was one of the later partners created. While she isn't the youngest, she is fairly new by comparison to the others. She is notable for having rejected her first assigned pilot(who was shortly after dropped from the project due to some unpleasant revelations) and generally being somewhat difficult to deal with. At the same time, she's displayed willingness to have a pilot.
- Pilot: N/A
- Name: Misaki
- Gender: Female
- Appearance: "Eh?"
- Personality: Misaki, in spite of physically appearing to be in her teens, acts like a child. She is excessively cheerful and immature, as well as being(or at least seeming to be) incredibly naive about the world and the people around her. She is extremely sweet-natured, friendly, and trusting. It takes a great deal to anger her, though if you do she becomes somewhat unpredictable. For the most part, however, she has nothing but affection for most people(human or partner). Misaki happily cultivates a small indoor garden in her living quarters, and has a great fondness for flowers. All she hopes for in a pilot is that they will be kind to her.
- History: Misaki is a relatively recently-made partner, newer then most of the others. One of her first interests expressed was in caring for something herself, and when she discovered she could care for plants she immediately began attempting to create her own garden. Which was met with failure. Several times. Eventually, she managed to properly maintain and care for a small indoor garden of exotic flowers.
- Pilot: N/A
My joining is dependent on my ability to not write the most broken thing in the RP by accident.
This might take a while.
Avatar Source...Do I even need to say I'll be signing up for this? But yeah, totally swiping my mecha's appearance from a sentai robo. >.> <.<
I'm interested. Any wandering pilot wanted to adopt a Kuudere/Tsundere partner?
- Name: Melissa Spangle (Prefers to go by Spangle)
- Age: 20
- Gender: Female
- Appearance: Melissa◊
- Personality: She's the literal definition of Deretsun. She Is very sweet, but tends to get tired of people rather quickly. She is kind and caring, though, unless you trip up. There's no going back then.
Spangle has a talent for style, and is addicted to shopping. She doesn't deny it. Other than that, she likes to watch movies, act, and plot your demise be near the cherished few she calls friends.
Due to a stroke of luck tragic accident, she also feels like she must make justice. All's fair in love and Giant Robots.
She's also yandere on the inside.
- History: Spangle had a boring childhood, other than being raised with a silver spoon in her mouth. It hit its high point on her 17th birthday. Her boyfriend, who she had for a few years, was an older man than her, about 23. He was always sloppy drunk, and would be very angry, yelling at her. On her birthday, she decided to do the unthinkable. She snuck into her room, where her boyfriend hid her gift. She didn't like it. Naturally, all it took was a well placed book at the top of the stairs to end the poor bastard. She got away with it, and hid it to this day. Sure, she feels a twinge of regret every now and then, but hey.
- Mecha: A 1400-SCAU: Saber Class Armored Unit(Nicknamed Knight)
- Mecha Appearance: For defending the weak.◊ (The only difference is that Spangle's is Lavender.)
- Mecha Abilities:
- Sword: Guess.
- Titanium Plating: Knight is immune to weaker bullets, although this slows him down greatly. As in he moves roughly 5 miles an hour walking.
- Night Shift: Knight sheds his Titanium plating, loses attack power, but is more agile.
•Partner: TBA (Chie maybe?)
I've only R Ped a girl once before, so please tell me if I'm drifting too far into Mary Sue territory.

UhWorking on a Partner.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Declined. As a character she seems rather problematic, and her mecha, well...
This is a Super Robots RP with a real robot paintjob. They need to be described in ways that wouldn't seem out-of-place in a real robot series, but function in ways that are most definitely super. Your mecha... doesn't show that at all. I'm sorry.
@Nman: I'll have a decision as soon as possible, it's taking me a bit to decide.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Actually, pulling due to lack of inspiration. >.<
"Yup. That tasted purple."Ooh, looks fun. Can I ask for Misaki as a partner? I'll toss up a profile in a bit.
Exist, pursued by bearHm. I'd like to see your bio, first, if that's okay.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."OK!
Wait, quick question. Is there an age range for pilots? I realize thirteen-year-olds are not going to be piloting but some range would be nice.
Exist, pursued by bearHmmm... mid teens to early twenties is the best age range for pilots, I think.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."- Name: Isolde Crest
- Age: 17
- Gender: Female
- Appearance: What is it?
- Personality: Isolde tries to act responsible, most of the time. Most of the time this doesn't go too well. She has something of a short temper and can get stressed out quite easily. And when she gets stressed out, she'll try to get things done as soon as possible, which generally translates to 'as haphazardly and rushed as possible'. She's something of a fangirl for anime, especially actiony ones.
- History: Isolde grew up in a typical suburban middle-class household. She had two younger siblings, and generally had to make sure that they finished homework on time, didn't fight, and all that, as her parents both worked 9-5 jobs. Thus, her dial for 'reasonable way to act when in an authority position' has been glued to 'small demon child' levels. Still, because of this she sometimes ended up having to cram in a lot of work last-second, and now does it habitually. She decided to join up with the program because, well, it's a source of income and also PILOTING GIANT ROBOTS.
- Mecha: Chevalier
- Mecha Appearance: [1]◊
- Mecha Abilities:
- Sabre: Chevalier's sword. It is a glowing green-blue laser blade. When it is unsheathed, it can release a massive 'wave' of energy outwards. A similar effect can be gotten when it's unsheathed, but it's lessened.
- Arc: That cannon-shaped thing on the left arm. It can launch various projectiles of about medium strength - not terribly weak, not very strong.
- Partner: Misaki
How's that?
Exist, pursued by bearShe looks acceptable. However, I'll have to put a bit more thought into pairing her with Misaki or not. Sorry for the wait on that front. ^^;

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Ah, no problem! And thank you .
Exist, pursued by bear
Artificial intelligences are subject to much speculation and advancement. However, only recently have they advanced to such a point that their behavior is literally indistinguishable from that of a human being. This, combined with the ability to replicate human bodies with mechanical components, has lead to a breakthrough.
Robots identical to human beings in physical appearance, mental capacity, and behavior.
There is currently only one facility capable of producing these robots. Their purpose for them has been very clear, direct, and simple: To help make the best mecha pilots there can be. Each pilot is assigned to one of the robots, and both the pilot and the robot are assigned to a mecha. These mecha lack a power core: This is what the robot provides them with, along with an onboard AI. The pilot can communicate with a holographic projection of the robot's AI in the cockpit.
These robots are designed to trigger feelings of protectiveness in the pilot, to make the pilot try their hardest in combat. The stronger the bond between the pilot and their robotic partner, the stronger the mecha becomes.
So... that's kind of the basic idea of this. It's rambling and such, but, um, yeah.
